"Don't Drink the Bath Water" Quest Bug

Hi guys,

have this bug quite a while now and thanks to kinggath newest video I finally know which mod caused it, so that are already good news.

So when selecting this quest it leads me to Edwins Cabin, right at the Chestnut Hillock Reservoir. The marker is in front of his cabin, above a dead brahmin. I cant do anything to progress further and after watching kinggaths video it seems to be a dead end anyway.

If anyone has an idea to fix the issue I would be highly thankful :)

Read the journal on the desk, the one I read twice, and the next marker should show up at the parking garage. I never made the quest active in the pip-boy, so the markers never showed. kind of forgot.. not like I've ran through it 2 dozen times. LOL

There is no journal on Edwins desk. And I cant remember to have ever drunk from the bath tub and have had a conversation with Tom Sanford. On top of that I dont even know if there even is a distillery in one of my settlements. :D

So I have to build a destillery in order to start the quest? How is it possible that it appeared in my quest list in the first place? Its really weird that there is no description at all, should be updated in my opinion.

That would be a serious bug. It's not even triggered until you drink from the tub 4 times. Or a mod is really mucking up quest. But that would have to target the exact quest record.. naaah..scratch that theory! LOL

It is a serious bug, hope kinggath sees this. I have never drunk from the tub.
lIl try to trigger the quest properly then..

Thanks for your replies thus far! :)

That unfortunately sounds like a save corruption issue. I just tore through my scripts, and there's currently no method in SS, other than drinking the water 4 times to trigger that quest.

If someone can figure out how to replicate this from a fresh save, I can look into it as a bug. Right now though, I have no leads or information on where I would even start looking.

Thank you for your reply.
I have no leads either, the quest was just "there" as I scrolled through the list a couple weeks ago. So no idea when it got added. :/
