Hi guys. So i donated most of my clutter to the main mod. Not just to improve the amount of clutter available. But it should also help downsize my mod a bit.

(have some more but those are so specially made for something I have a in the van home, I would just be silly to add to the main)

Any thoughts on more ppl donating?

Uhm.. actually it would be a nice save of time having a bigger amount of pre-made clutter ready to use and also a gain in downsize.

What about a post with the list of the Formlist and relative amount?
So, in case, a builder could see which category need some more donation and do some others without enrich too much a category at the expense of another.

Also, going over 50 randoms by type would start to became inproductive (even 50 are a steep value)

FYI, @ohnno - only some of your clutter made it in. So be sure to consult the 2.0.4 New in This Version pdf file tomorrow after I update the toolkit.

You'll end up having to change out some of your clutter spawns to use the formlists I added if you want to remove the meshes from your archive.

@BtN Well yes that could work :)

50 is a bit big yes, but for example i have those stalls with plastic bins on them. I have a single formlist with over 24 option of random clutter for those. Because the stalls are General stores and can have any thing.
But those 24 are also split int to sub catagories in case I need them for food, weapons or just plain junk. Also there small so i can have more then plenty of them to make it look more random.
So specialistion and size can lead to more and better randomization I geuss I;m trying to say. :)

@kinggath , wasn't expecting every thing to be in there. :) also was trying to show the guys / gals / peeps.. the benefits of donating. Sorry if I step out of bounds :)

Just wanted to make sure you didn't delete all your assets before you saw how I implemented them.

@ohnno
Yes, absolutly, I was just raising a point with an example.

With a good amount of category, some rules about the names and a post on the forum/wiki, it could be saved a lot of time and space.

@kinggath, good advise :) cant wait till the patch :D

@BtN well frist we need ppl to donate eheh, kinde pointless to make al kinds of rules and stuff i there isnt any thing for the to manage ;)

This sounds like a good idea. If anything can be used from Wasteland Venturers, feel free to add that too!

Edit: we've reduced several of the custom textures in size for the next update, so if any of those are used I can upload the new textures somewhere.

@Tinuvia Did you happen to use any of the helper objects as guides for your random clutter? I want to keep the clutter in Sim Settlements in a handful of sizes and all single surface for maximum re-use. (Which is why not all of your clutter made it in @ohnno )

I have recently converted most of my clutter using the helper objects for my agriculture plots if you are interested in using those... mostly a lot of pots full of dirt and farm junk... I haven't dropped the file yet, but getting there... or maybe never... Seems to be taking forever! hah

Yeah, I'm happy to move as much clutter to the main mod as you all want to provide, so long as it's in one of those standardized sizes.

If you could, package all of the nifs up in a folder for each clutter list so I can quickly implement them.

I'll most likely be grouping them differently than you might be, but you'll be able to re-point your static records to the nifs in the main mod and reduce your mod size - the form records take up virtually no space, it's the nifs that quickly gobble up those MBs.

Yes, they use helpers. I'll put the most useful ones in folders and zip - where would you like it uploaded?
