Does Conqueror override normal Sim Settlements?

I'm going to be doing a new Fallout 4 playthru and wanted to finally give the whole Sim Settlement package a whirl. But I'm confused about how Conqueror works -- if I install it, does it override the normal Sim Settlement content and gamplay? Or change settlement mechanics somehow?

I still would like to build normal Sim Settlements, but I'd also like to try Conqueror. I just don't understand whether you can do both?

Yes, Conqueror overwrites SS.

Yes, you can do both.

What I do/recommend is take the Conqueror suggestions and the beginning. Then add to the non-conqueror list settlements you particularly like building in and therefore don't want to prebuild in.

I am a player that particularly likes building their own settlements but KG :kinggath:and Uituit :jester are corrupting me :crazy so my game is changing to more pre-built settlements so I can do both.

What I have particularly found to be fun is using settlement location mods from authors I trust. So, I have started adding more settlement mods by:
@VersusXV
@Yagisan
@pra
In order to get my building fix on and it is a nice change building in non-vanilla settlements.
