Account of Confessor Co-60, Confessor of Division, on the symbiotic relationship of Division and the RCID:
"As much as my flock hates to hear it, the Radioactive Crater Improvement District has proven to be very helpful in sustaining our presence here in this Holy Place. The high walls of the Crater can only keep out so much and the wealth they bring in with their Sailors has allowed our home to prosper and draw more pilgrims. Additionally, their efforts to provide purified water to the Sailors and other migrant workers has been invaluable in keeping the hospital stocked with sterile water for those things Atom cannot provide through faith alone."

Inquisitor Heron, Hunter of Division, on the RCID:
"I follow Co-60 in all she does and protect her from danger at all turns, but I fear the allure and comfort of these heretics is corrupting her Irradience. She has been shirking her sermons in favor of healing others, even outsiders who come to Division to leech off the bountiful Glow of His Glory. If something is not done about these Pirates and their billowing pillars of smoke and ash, I fear this pristine patch of Atom's Love may be corrupted as the rest of the Wastes have become."

Captain Richard Sternblower of the Radioactive Crater Improvement District, on the Children of Atom:
"The Baldies keep to themselves until they don't. If I have to treat another one of my sailors for radiation sickness because some lunatic slipped some of that poisonous yellow water into the staff soup, I'll shoot them myself. It's hard enough keeping stocked with Rad-X to keep people from puking due to the ambient radiation. Cobalt's done a decent job though. Most of the Baldy pilgrims get a thorough talking to when they arrive about how they must 'tolerate' the 'heretics' or be expelled by Heron and his goons."DivisionL3Looming.jpg

In the early years, Division's primary source of food was the protein collected by an ingenious "hunter" who set up a minefield to kill and maim the megafauna wandering in from the Sea.

But in truth, it was Confessor CO-60 and her research into mutagenic properties the Glowing Sea imparted upon both biological and chemical compounds used in medicine. This development brought more cultists who would build a small mound of a town atop the hospital known as "the Heap."DivisionL0Heap.jpgDivisionL0Heap2.jpgDivisionL0Heap1.jpg

"Dear Mary,
I do not like the Glowing Sea. I do not like the Children of Atom and how they stare at our bunkhouse from across their 'holy spring.' I do not like how the Captain's only protection he can offer us is the promise of their leader, a woman named Cobalt Sixty. I do not like that all the water we drink makes me nervous I will die come dawn. I do not like that I do not know when dawn comes. I do not like that I am far from you my love.
Cobalt and her council and the Captain have decided to give the settlement a more... agnostic name. 'Division.'
But Captain says that once we get an air purifier set up and the scrap teams kick off in full speed, soon the route from Diamond City to here will be safer than the passage from our front door to the outhouse. I must admit, there are moments when I stare at the sky, when the radiation storms die off and the lights that shimmer around the Crater make me wish you were here so that I can see their light in your eyes and your hands in mine.
For now, I must work to build the factory on the crater's rim.

Katherine"

"A young girl I was, barely out of my home,
I set to the Sea with a meaning to roam,
Signed with the Captain who promised me caps,
and adventure to quicken the heart of this lass.

For years I toiled, pulling junk from the muck,
Feeling so ill that I might just throw up.
Building the back for an empire of scrap."

Holotape Transcription of the Sentencing of the Atomic Five, following their failed attempts to drive the RCID from Division
Co-60: The Council has found these children guilty of conspiracy against Division and the peace we have bui-
Unknown: Traitor to Atom! You are an apostate!
Co-60: -lt here with our partners from beyond the Sea. They have conspired to destroy the Radioactive Crater Improvement District's Air Purifier and Water Purifier. Their hands and feet shall be bound and they will be thrown down the south crater face where the beasts of the Sea shall bring them to Atom's grace. Heron, hunter of our home, for leading this conspiracy and attempting to kill both the Captains of the RCID and the leaders of the Division Council through means of a firebomb, you shall be sentenced to Bait. Your skin will be flayed and you will be tied to the Hunter's Gate traps to draw in beasts to feed our town. What say you?
Heron: I pray you see His Glow again before you die and cut down the Captains and drive the heretic into the maws of a dea-
A gunshot cuts him short
Captain Steamshovel: Who fired that shot?!
Co-60: Heron... my friend...
Captain Sternblower: Cobalt, we need to go.
