Hey There,

Firstly - let me thank you for your Wonderful mod. After 394 hours on record, the prospect of such an epic mod really added some serious hours to the game.

Unfortunately I'm having an issue with my first settlement - Taffington Boathouse.

After setting Taffington Boathouse off to go and having upgrades set to manual - I left a 3 person settlement to get to it. Some 20 in-game days later the settlement is now at 11 settlers and 79% happiness. I decided to quick travel and see how it was doing. The game loaded and I started to have a walk about - pretty impressed and then the game crashed. Tried changing a few settings around but crashes after a few seconds at location.

I get 2 to 5 seconds at location to walk around before it crashes to desktop. I'm able to quick travel to location - let the game load - and quick travel out before it crashes.

I'm running the latest Version 3.4.0 and 1.0.4 of the one year pack.

Any ideas ?

Hi and welcome to the forum of Sim Settlements!

Depending on your hardware, these things can happen, specially with level 3 cities or with others city-plan-controlled settlements nearby. What are your specs?

You can use the City Manager holotape (or MCM menu) to set all the Performance options to off/low and see if stops the crashes. If yes then I'd slowly turning on one at a time.

Also you're running the latest version of Sim Settlements, there are new city plans made specifically for lower-end machines in mind (Optimized City Plans), as a last resort if the above doesn't help. Did you start this settlement before or after the latest update (3.4)? If you started it after the update, check inside Performance options if Complex City Plan is turned OFF. If it is already off, then your settlement is already the optimized version. If it is ON, you can follow the instructions below:
  1. Turn Complex City Plans > OFF
  2. Take the city back at the City Manager Desk
  3. Remotely destruct the entire settlement
  4. Wait until everything is destroyed
  5. Put the desk again, assign a leader and start the optimized city plan.
