Solved Defence turrets and npc queues.

me again, greetings to all.
I started a new game with https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/38520 installed.
I took the advice I received in my previous question here and took RedRocket for my first HQ.
in the prebuilt settlement mod I chose, RedRocket is a heavily defended place.
twinned 10mm turrets, missile launchers etc. it took me a while to knock them all out.
my question is, now it is my settlement., do I have to repair them? or will they fix themselves?
the other part of my question is about the raider recruits standing in big groups out side the north entrance, but not opening the door. is that nothing to worry about? should I just leave them to it?
i'm going to play a bit now, check back here later.
 
I know now that the turrets repair themselves. I returned to RedRocket after assaulting Abernathy for supplies. the 10mm turrets and the missile turrets were all up and running.
when I spoke to Jammer and the Gunners attacked I felt sorry for them. the out going fusilade was deafening. i like this place haha!
the npc's all found the way inside and are now doing various things around the place.
