Researching Crash to desktop when traveling to Sanctuary

I have a replicable bug where my game crashes when fast traveling to or approaching Sanctuary on foot. I have tried the trouble shooting methods, I can get to Red Rocket by looking away from Sanctuary but the game crashes if I look in its direction. I recently purchased the season pass and downloaded all DLC if that helps. Going to a previous save works for a short time but eventually the bug surfaces again.

So first thing, have you made Sanctuary a city or is it just plots? Have you looked at either of these threads?

I have made it a city, yes. I believe it was level 2 or 3, I am not sure. I just looked at the crash guide and my situation sounds like a corrupt save. I deleted RotCW but kept SS and loaded an older save and was able to travel to Sanctuary, but after an hour i could no longer travel there.

Well if it is a corrupted save there is no telling how far back it goes. It might be a good idea to update to the next patch this weekend (usually Friday evening) and see if that helps. The team has a bunch of fixes there and on the off chance it is not a corrupted save this may fix your issue. On the original save even.

Update: I'm not sure what changed, but I can visit sanctuary again on foot. I avoided it for a week in real time and tried again today and was able to visit.
