ok i relise this is the second problem ive had today but im new to the mod and just trying to get it working the first time im even knew to sim settlements... i have 2 conqueror expansions active and are effecting the game world yet conqueror doesnt seem to relise they are there... can someone tell me what to do...

ive been looking around this site and read something about waiting people being told to wait for scripts or something could that be my problem??? if so how long do i wait??? if not what could be the problem??? (im clueless)

just install the mods i listed previously.
why do you need 7zip on your pc? Vortex will unpack the mods for you. But you can download it if you think you need it - but for what we've asked you to do - you don't need/want 7zip.

Just don't use the one from Windows 10 windows... go to the actual 7z page and download that one...

7z will extract all of them zip, 7z, rar, etc.. I use it primarily too... but it's personal choice.

Oi vey.... :help

see other posts... do fresh install, validate, delete cc's, follow BrB load order I linked earlier for you elsewhere... if you have the latest download of the Fallout game, 1.10.163, you need version 6.20 of F4 script extender on Silverlock… just down load the file and extract (copy and paste all into your fallout 4 game folder) ... do NOT run the installer... NOT... NOT...

all i know is that f4se official sight says "Having trouble extracting the archive? Download 7-zip" before saying NOT to use anything from windows app store... dont i need it then???...... (@MrCJohn posts) .................. whats this about a installer??? i just have the 6.20 f4se sitting on desktop and a clean download of fallout 4 have not opened it at all.... haven't done this in so long..... do u mean the steam fallout 4 installer???

actually i think you'll need f4se for hudframework, so go ahead and download the latest f4se and install it.
dont start the game from f4se loader at the moment - just start the game and make sure that the vanilla game actually works on your system before you install any mods.

There used to be a link just to install from the page where you would choose "Run" or Download... I just meant to save it to your computer...

how far do i need to go before i can say.... yep this works lol

If you are just wanting to get conqueror to work, go to my mod page. There is a picture there of all the mods (load order) you need to make that work. (if you just want to use the ROTC cities, you don't need the city contest pack).

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/38520

Set that up... you don't even need the Fallout 4 Script Extender.. you don't even need Workshop Framework (I include it because it will tremendously help you with city building scripts)

well it would seem that the mods are NOT in fallout 4's game folder so....... all good i think??? ill just re enable the mods i need and be good
It would be under fallout4/data. Should be folders like scripts, meshes.... and files that are esps.

The mods themselves are in you managers folder.

ok so here is what happened... vortex must have some secret backup of all my mods somewere on my pc that even survives a vortex reinstall... (somehow)... however all is not lost as they seem to be gone from the data folder until i re-enable them did a test with f4se just to be certain

edit: seems like there may be a way to tell vortex to remove them from data folder im not shure though i will do research later that may be good for someone like me who DOESN'T get a ultimatum from steam lol
now to figure out a way to tell vortex to move hudframework to were it needs to be

you were not asked to reinstall vortex. only fo4. vortex remained untouched. when you fired it up, it loaded up its last known configuration of your mod files.
you could purge them from vortex then reinstall them via the archives you have downloaded, but to be clear, you were instructed only to have a fresh install of fo4 as your game was in such a bad state.
you don't need to tell vortex anything. it will sort the mods where they need to go. it does not require you to play around with the position of any esm file - leave them as they are.
