In the interest of helping to spur more addon plot development I think it might be good to have a topic to post any plot ideas/requests you wish to be made with optionally also a description/image, and discuss them.

The idea being that any Addon Author can then potentially take any idea they like and create it. Now is a good time for this since the Conquerors Expansion will open a lot of doors and add an exciting new 3x3 Agriculture plot archetype. People likely are speculating about the trailer so they could spin that into some ideas/requests.

Anything you can think of, so long as the idea is not something that would violate site rules. Something to help addon authors who are stuck on what to create next &/or may want to try a different direction. Something you would like to see as a player, either creatively speaking(ex. "I'd like to see some Railroad plots, this is how I imagine they'd be like") or mechanically speaking(ex. "I'd like a plot that radiates power across the settlement") but specifics are probably the best if possible. Images are great if it can really convey the look you would like to see. The more details, the more clear the path ahead will be for addon authors who know how to create new plots. And possibly, people reading might find reasons to begin creating their own Addon Packs(It's very fun!:cool:)

I think we particularly need more 2x2 Martial Plots♟& I'd also like to see 3x3♜Plot ideas. I'd like to see ideas for every type of course but for 2x2 Martial I personally would like to make more yet have had a lot difficulty deciding on concepts for them. I'm excited about the 3x3 and hope to see fast adoption of it. Personally I am going to try to have my addon cover each category and then I am going to see if I can add a few more Martial Plots, hopefully fairly distinct from my 2 I have already. If not I'd roll them into the others as random variants at some point, if the list grows.

For now, I really think there could stand to be more adoption of the newer plot types that Kinggath has added. I also believe it would also be very useful in the future to have a big compiled list of plot ideas that people have/people want, if someday there might be a Plot Creation Contest to go along with the City Planners Contest.

I think it'd also be cool if there would be a Community Google Sheet for plot ideas.
I'm a bit of a noob with Google Sheets but I think it could be cool if members here could get added to be able to edit/comment on it. Or people could make a copy of the above sheet if they have many ideas. For now I can periodically add them all in. I am also going to work on a ♜Plot WIP Feedback♖ Thread

Internal plots:
All types of internal plots. "I love them all." I like to build my own settlement, I am not a fan of decorating and only rarely will, if ever use a city plan. Some add-ons have a kind of theme so maybe faction related. But, maybe an add-on almost completely devoted to internal plots. That would be really nice.

The Gaslight Concoctions plot by: Tinuvia and Myrmarachne:
I really wish / hope folks will look at this plot and don't miss the small print
. It is amazing. Aside from their astounding attention to detail and creative magic - the ability to add other add-ons / internal plots, vanilla beds or even other content to me is one of the coolest plot innovations out. I really like this "a lot." It to me this is the single most wonderous plot available and that is mostly due to this one feature. If folks "players and users haven't tried this plot - ha, I recommend it.

Martial Plots:
Specifically, 1x1
for features where the user wants to do most of the build or the situation dictates but wants a higher defense rating and sim settlement manning, animations and clutter.

Please - I really hope the 1x1 world will be opened. I also think this would be a great vehicle for new modders to try their hand at making a very simple but useful space / mod.

3x3 Agriculture plot archetype: hahaha, don't tell Snarkywriter you are using his big psychological words. ha, a "Carl Jung" plot.... :blum Uituit could visit! Maybe Coots make a chair and couch! :jester
:punish hahahaa, "Anyway" oh yes! "A Brahmin Plot!" with a small barn! Maybe like the Little House in the Wasteland plot only with an enclosed space like the one for Maisie. ha, btw Little House in the Wasteland is another "combo rockstar plot" that I wish we could see more of. Even if they were only agricultural + bed like the Little House in the Wasteland would be nice.
So, 3 x 3 -
3 x 3 One: Farms, Factories, Exercise yards, Military Shooting Ranges? Or Bigger plots like Uituit's Garden Plot. Oh, good lord! I bet Uituit is drooling over the 3 x 3's! I can't wait!
3 x 3 Two: Barracks where folks could add internal plots "side by side" to house your local militia?
3 x 3 Three: Oh, maybe crazy but two story? Barracks or not but something you could house families in? Even if it was slapping two internals side by side like Robots Smell larger ones? :friends

Oh, almost forgot anything with rabbits, chickens or animal NPC's like the beloved CPT BACONSAUSAGE! Yep, I buy him every time at the Sim Settlement Furniture Store and put him in IDEK's plot to protect it - hahaha!

That's perfect. Anything I can't do, maybe another author who stops by can do it. The more the better, since it'll be more likely that authors who check in will find ideas they like.

Agreed! It's amazing! For those reasons I think it might be my favorite Commercial Plot right now. Gaslight Concoctions with Interior Plot IDEK Logistics Station upstairs will become a fixture at many of my settlements. I think we can all agree it's a home run.

It's actually gotten me to try out learning custom Snap Points. I am trying it out for my custom Foundations right now and if it works for me I will try to use the same method for my 4 Story & High End. As that was the original intention for them.

It couldn't have come at a better time since with the new expansion I really want 3x3 Foundations! I've made 3x3 versions of most of VFX Addon's Custom Foundations(am currently testing stuff out for Snap Points). So that way people will not have any excuse to not create 3x3 Plots. And with the 1x1 I think it might be lack of foundations for them, so I made versions of mine for that too.

Kinggath is adding in 3x3 Agricultural Plots for us so least we can do is fill up the Build Plan Selection menu with tons of options for it!

Someday maybe I'll make a Giant Settlement like how there's the Giant World in Super Mario Bros 3.

That's actually the plan for my first planned WIP Commercial. A sort of Mall plot, it'll have an entryway with a small lobby where there'll be a junk seller like you often can find IRL in the kiosks. The rest will be an Interior Cell(That may or may not be bigger than on the outside. What I'll have to do with it for that will mean it basically is going to be a 3x3 sized Commercial Plot. For now I'll have it in normal Commercial but just label it as being 3x3.

I want to play around with beginner scripting in there. It was suggested to me to make a "Player's Home" like people do in Skyrim but I wanted to try it this way instead. Maybe a custom vendor someday. It will likely be a thing I'll come back to, for experiments/learning projects.

My Ag plot idea is pretty much going to be 3x3 sized too. Yeah Kevbal was cool, I think his stuff was the first that I liked using a lot when I was on Xbox at beginning of Sim Settlements

If 3x3 plot become popular with addon makers, Kinggath may expand that to other plots, but that may take a while.

Exactly! We gotta justify it, and that is a big part of why I made this topic.

Seems like Martial 2x2 did not get much adoption. I know it because I don't have any wait when I choose Build Plan Select for them.

Me too, though for pretty much any category of 3x3. A lot of stuff I'd shelved before was due to them not really going to be able to work as 2x2 and at least early on in terms of plot count I wouldn't want everything to be direct selection only
 
While agreeing with everything said above, I'd also like to see more use made of W+'s Blueprints.

It would be really nice to be able to import some basic structures more complex than just plots.

For example, perhaps a starter blockhouse, with a couple internal residential plots, a player bed, basic crafting stations, a generator, a recruiting beacon, a spotlight, and a couple of turrets. Something to plop down on a freshly-claimed settlement that you don't want to take the time to development at the moment.

@Whisper showed off one such construct in another thread a while back, but as far as I know there are none on the Nexus yet available for download.

While we can't currently do that with WS+, there are some possibilities with Sim Settlements.

An oversized plot that would be like that is possible but will often require a lot of trial & error in placement for players. What I probably would try to do is set it up with snap points for the int plots, spawn items for the rest & for helping with placement I'd also spawn a floor piece since you can then snap objects to the floorpiece. Or with 3x3 it could be used with foundation and just have to place that. A hypothetical 3x3 martial as a portable fort could be a cool route IMO.

How large would you imagine it to be? I think 3x3 is definitely doable, or maybe a little larger. Very large will become somewhat difficult for placement, or else require the player to plan out a grid of foundation pieces to "zone" where they want it to be so it won't end up being partially under the ground due to terrain height.

I personally make it a point to use only the 2x2 martial in my builds. Can't get past the efficiency side of it!

What you can do is export your small plan using Transfer Settlements - import into your new game (in an unbuilt area) - and then Blueprint it there. It’s unfortunately nowhere nearly as convenient as exporting the Blueprint file as-is.

Yes. Anywhere you can build in the game.

Is why I was looking at the C.A.M.P. mod, unfortunately they don’t work with WS+. Maybe one day, as I was yakking about in Discord yesterday.

I don’t have the knowledge and skill to figure what they’ve done. >_< Looks like papyrus scripting.

Plus lately I’ve been messing around with other things. Realistically, I only have a small amount of time for modding...

I want these long-delayed Tesla plots out. Think the internal and external ones should be done this weekend - though they won’t have been tested in a city plan. The advanced one will require a heck of a lot more thought.

Right now though, time to go tramping. ;)

Martial plots.....One thing I could handle seeing is a 1x2 or 3 plot with a container on it... big enough that it can handle a couple turrets. Then as the settlement gets going, the locals upgrade the thing so it functions as part of a fort.
This seems interesting, can you please elaborate?:) A "fort" type of thing is something I believe we need, so would love some more thoughts about it
