Cleaning up the docks of Egret Marina (Cancelled)

Thanks
Because nothing was scrapped, settlers are building what they want, and the build limit is at 60% on just the foundation.

Is it a standard non-modified city? Meaning, if it is totally vanilla without scrap everything, border extensions, etc, can't you just use the default scrap profile? @uituit

Yes, no scrap everything and no border expansion.
I did create and use a scrap profile that I created via the instructions from here:
https://simsettlements.com/site/ind...easing-your-city-plan-the-simple-method.7633/
Not sure how or where to get the default scrap profile.
Even so I still have the problem with my build limit at 60% on the foundation level, and that was after i increased it using the SS tool.

It's in the download folder where you get the project blueprint tools... simple default ....

what is it at level 3? How many times did you increase the limit? I think I saw you could go up to 3x the original build limit?

The settlers are also not building the plots that I chose which throws everything off and will not match up to my build, and it will look ugly.
I don't want to put out something that is crap with my name on it.
I can still send you the files if you want to see them. Is there a drop box?
I have a feeling my 5 vortex profiles may not have a clean transition from one profile to another and I used to have scrap everything installed. on two other profiles
I think i may wipe the game and vortex from my PC and do a fresh install, I think its about time for a refresh.

sounds like you don't have designers choice on.
just send me the json files in a personal msg, google drive link if you use that is fine.

scrap everything could also be a problem :(

Okay, so I tried again and turned on designers choice and my plots are being built.
And I went thru and manually scrapped all of the stuff that did not scrap and my build limit looks normal now.
Some items seem offset but that may have been me when removing items for each level.
So the only real problem appears to be that the scrap profile is not working for some reason.
I am going to download the default scrap profile and try it again and see what happens.
I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction. I will update as soon as I know.
Time for a cup of coffee!

Looks like that did not help either.
I guess complex part will be you have to scrap everything manually and manually move the workbench.

I went to another settlement far away and slept 24 hours and I tried exiting and reloading the game.
Sandbags are also missing.
Gonna go back and check at my levels and maybe run TS again of each one.

I went back and reloaded each level and recreated each json file and got the same thing missing items.
On each level I reloaded back up the build limit was a 0 before recreating the json files.
When i used the city plan, the foundation level build limit was at 50%, with build limit increased.
When the city plan got to level 2 the build limit was at 80% and when it got to level 3 the build limit was at 0% (Zero) and items were missing.
I traveled out of the settlement and slept two days to reset the cell at each level
Also had 2 crashes when city was going from L1 to 2 and from L0 to L1.
Twice when I tried to just import my L3 using TS it crashed, something it did not do on my previous L3 file.
I think I am done trying to fix it. Pretty sure something is screwed up with my game and I just need to delete the game and install from scratch.
All the help has been much much appreciated.

I will hang onto my files and see what happens on the fresh install.

The only time to worry about the build limit, is in your original save where you're doing the design, as Fallout 4 does this at engine level when you build things in Workshop Mode. Sim Settlements just tries to simulate the values when placing the items via a city plan - so they can be wildly inaccurate at times.

Per disappearing items, this is usually a sign that you have certain performance options disabled in Sim Settlements as a lot of items are flagged as certain types and won't be placed if that type is disabled. That or you mixed up your blueprints and uploaded them to the web tool attached to the wrong levels (I did this a bunch during RotC development and so started using the TS slots 10 through 14 every time so I knew which was which. 10 was where I always put foundation, 11 for L1, 12 for L2, 13 for L3, and 14 for Scrap Profile)

Gotcha, Good to know.
I am 99% positive i had them in the right order, I was keeping hand written notes on the side of level saves and json files. I think I did them like 6 different times.
I had this issue with Abernathy Farms as well.
Question: When doing the scrapProfile portion I scrapped everything first then ran the console command, then the TS Export.
Is that the correct way or does the cqf command queue it up to be scrapped during foundation build process?
