Can't assign Lupe to Logistics

I finally was able to get the HQ quests to work, after days of bugfixing, and I'm stuck again. Everything was working mostly fine, sometimes trying to do a clean job would just give me a popup about no selections available or something. But sitting on a couch and waiting would make it work. Well now I'm at the part where I'm suppose to assign Lupe to logistics, when I open the assignment screen both sides of the trade menu are full of the same 6ish people. No matter what arrangement of people I actually put into either side I always end up with 'None is not the leader of the logistics department' I've seen similar post like this on the forum from back in January, but with no solution.
 
There is a Logistics Department Desk in the Comm Array Room.
Activate it and try Assign Leader. See if you can assign Lupe using that method.
 
I tried that with the same result. This now happens on the assignment screen for engineering and security as well, even though it didn't when I first used the to assign Jake or example.

EDIT: just discovered I have around 3k active scripts from SS2, all outfitmanager so that could have something to do with the weird stuff. I see there's a hotfix for SS2 for training plots, and this seems to have happened after I fast traveled to the Stodge settlement so maybe it has something to do with that

@Cessori So after updating I waited around GNN for stuff to clear, checked save, now there's 8k active scripts. So I looked at them...im pretty sure its Jake's holster getting equipped/unequipped ad Infinium. So I went and found Jake and sure enough his holster is flick in and out of reality nearly every frame. There's also about 3000 entries listed under the 'Suspended Stacks' in resaver, all look to be the same thing on Jake....let me know if you'd like a copy of this save

Did you get the latest SS2 release? Some script going wild was hotfixed.
IIRC your save has Collections? It's difficult to check through saves with tons of mods. IDK about Jake's Holster, not seen any issues with it before.
 
I did already update to the new version and It doesn't seem to have helped, I'll just revert to the old save again and start how to HQ over. definitely going to have to remember to save often with SS2, its a great mod just starting to feel the old FO4 engine cant keep up with it. I honestly enjoy the SS2 content more than the official content. Standalone game when lol

I just had the same issue. I fast traveled to Sanctuary, did some things there, then fast traveled to HQ. Seemed to fix the issue.
 
After hours and hours of tinkering with this, I have determined the recruitment system in HQ is really screwed up. I have played before with no issues, but that was before chapter 3. I think that Chapter 3 really messed with Headquarters and now scripts are misfiring. Not sure what else to do.

latest update, haven't had *too many issues so far that aren't atleast fixable or troubleshootable in some way with the mod until here where its just refusing to work at all for seemingly no reason and im not exactly smart enough to understand how to check if that issue with jakes holstered gun is happening or not but early on in my character's playthrough i did notice how he had a second pistol holstered overtop the one he already had as seemingly part of his outfit that only disappeared when he lost it later on

every part of the HQ is cleaned, and im effectively locked out of building the large living quarters due to not having a head of logistics regardless how many times i scream at lupe for not doing her job in order to have "the resources" that are supposed to be at 9999 like the guide on here mentions
and the fix for not having enough people doesn't do anything because thats not the issue im having

no idea how to fix from this point forward and im effectively giving up until further notice however ill provide a picture showing everything atleast with sim settlements in the name to show what may be unknowingly causing problems im not aware of

*i've had maybe a few random hiccups and usually it was either cuz fallout 4 is buggy in its quest triggers to begin with or it was cuz the quest itself was just refusing to trigger things on occasion and in most cases reloading saves or restarting the game fixed these things or like in the case with literally getting jake to show up to start sim settlements to begin with i ended up forcing him to start the tutorial via the holotape which i was able to complete with the normal jank im used to with this mod and its subsequent questline the couple times i've done it (despite never actually finishing it cuz i've yet to of gotten into chapter 3)

If living quarters aren't being built, can you check the Facilities Department desk in Mansfield's Office and check costs for the quarters. If energy is greyed out, then open your assign menu for Facilities. More than likely MALA is unassigned, so assigning her via that menu should resolve this. There is a fix coming in the next patch.

Re: Lupe, she should be auto-assigned during the portion of the quest where supply lines are set up, which is after you speak to Stodge/Hubert and co.
