Building purpose list?

Would this be useful?

With all of the addons for SS I personally get confused as to which buildings produce what, and how much they should produce at each level.
I think it would be great if there were a "master key" that for each addon the building name and then useful stats were put under it.
Example of a use robotics workshop (idk what this does but it has to do with robotics im sure)
Example of proposed solution
Mud tato farm (SS)
Lvl1 2 food (tato)
Lvl2 4
Lvl 3 6

I'm not sure what your asking for. Do you mean something like this?

I'm currently trying to get all of the addon buildings added to the wiki.

I think what you're asking for is a list of all the structures in Sim Settlements and what their needs/requirements are at each level. I don't know if one exists at the moment but I do know you can look at the plaque on the plot and see what it needs at each stage. Since a master list of all plots including addtional addon content doesn't really exist at the moment, you could build one out in something like google docs and share it with the community as a read only resource.

Personally, I figure it's part of the fun if the plots are completely random so I rarely reset a plot no matter what it does or produces unless its something more or less useless like a guard post with turrets in the center of town facing a wall or it bugs out and I see floating beds or other strangeness.

I vote for fan gathered statistics lol. Takes long enough to build the plots; who wants to sit there and record data. One can typically gather what a plot does by reading the mod authors page. Most Agriculture plots are going to produce food. How much? You'll certainly find out. No plots have been made so far that yeild less than Kgsim-original plots. So the only plots in question would be Industrial/Factories/and anything new coming out that dont fit into the basic plot categories. Which of course the authors are typically going to enjoy telling you on their pages "hey this plot makes cheese" and then you know the function of that plot.
lol naw, its a good idea. im just lazy and i read this as - more work - hehe

I would be all for a fan page (doc) but the factories I think will be the hard part and some mod authors I couldn't find what actually is made in them. Again example is the robotics workshop vs i think scrapper or something?
As a mod author, if a google doc was made and was a community effort, how would you feel about helping out with some of the "harder" buildings you have made?

The original as doesn't matter as much as factories and what not are just general scrap like a scav station I think. Its only the addons that are confusing like Babylon rooftop gardens, what kinda food does that produce? While mud tato farm is pretty obvious

One thing that is desparately needed is a raw list and maybe links cause you talk about mods that I can't find and I go to NMM and search sim settlements and they don't all show up. We all know how good NMMs search engine works right?

I have just been giving examples of individual buildings in various addons. I think it would be nice to have the same photos with description that Jtbryant has for all addons.
Does this address your concern?

you would have to ask JtByrant about that
its just the basics for now

I set this up for displaying stage levels of construction only, However its just a table; more cells can be added. Its also editable for registered members or was the last time I was aware of the permissions.

We dont work in google docs. everything is done here or on the wiki. And if a list of all the addons containing all their level values is produced, I'll add mine eventually but there will be no rush. heck I havent even taken my pictures yet.

Ok well it looks like the wiki page has been started by someone already and with some improvements could be mostly done all by the community

Just need to add what each building does and get the rest of the addon buildings in.

That's currently being worked on (very industrially) by @uituit.
