Question [BUG] Settlers unassigning from vanilla-style crops

Upon leaving a settlement (far enough away that the cells unload) and re-entering it (AFAIK this does not occur by simply reloading a save in a settlement area), settlers will slowly become unassigned from vanilla-style crops (but will stay assigned to Sim Settlements plots, etc.). This requires fixing the issue every time I visit a settlement by assigning settlers with a non-red vault boy wave icon (the usual icon for settlers that are assigned to, for example, an SS residential plot, but not an actual occupation (completely unassigned settlers show the same icon but in red, as well as being highlighted by the "show unemployed" ASAM Vision)) to a food source, hitting the console button and waiting for the food value to finish going up (to prevent CTD from script overflow), reassigning the same settler to the residential plot that they were assigned to before because assigning settlers to vanilla-style crops unassigns them from residential plots for some reason, and repeating the process for every other settler until the food value is at an acceptable level again.

Issue only started occurring after installing Workshop Framework and Workshop Plus. Sim Settlements 3-in-1 (not SS2) was already installed.

BTW, I'm only using vanilla-style crops (with non-vanilla crops supplied by Ethreon's "Vanilla Extensions") in order to obtain specific crop-based crafting materials (e.g. corn, mutfruit, glowing fungus) that aren't obtainable through Sim Settlements agricultural plots as far as I'm aware.

SS 3-in-1 (the original Sim Settlements) will deposit ag plot crops as per normal into the workbench.

Re the unassignment, have you tried to see what is happening with a minimal playthrough? WSFW, WS+, and SS1.

Can the player choose which crops are produced, and do those options include things that are normally only found in the wild such as glowing fungus, ash blossoms, brain fungus, and hubflowers? The wiki has virtually no documentation on this at all.

I have not, but I'll see if I can get around to it.

Apologies, this week has been hell - I’ve not been on to reply to this.

The plants produced are a function of the SS1/2 plot. If the plot is set up to grow and deposit (for example) Ash Flowers, then they should also be added to the workbench. Otherwise regular crops are deposited as normal by the FO4 workshop system.
