Best place to build large/complex settlement?

It's Ten - Pines, hahahaha, only with Pines:

Added with: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/30673

using the flora trees this mod adds to the workshop. I added a bunch of Pine tree. I mean tenpines and no pines "come on bethesda"

Piper? not sure, what is wrong with her? She is modded.

highly recommended! https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/29205

I had to drop BNS because it didn't play well with Yagisan's Red Rocket Settlements.

The Piper thing just amused me because I'm really fond of the vanilla version. To me, she's one of the best matches to the voice acting.

yeah, she is my favorite also. Mostly one of them - Dogmeat, Piper, Heather, Nick, and Curie are normally in the first companion slot, I always use a mod that lets me have more.

I have a mod that lets me recruit Nat. So this play through other than build settlements all I want to do is take Nat, Piper and Heather to Nuka world. I always have had the DLC just never played it. So am very excited to take Nat there this Christmas. Give the disappointment of fallout 76 I am twice as excited to play that and have new content at this late date.

I have Preston somewhat secluded until after that is done.

How much personality is the mod able to give Nat?

I started using AFT, so I've currently got Piper, Heather and Cait running around with me.

I wish there was even more cross-talk between them. Such different personalities. I love how much Heather hates Piper.

Enough to be be enjoyable. Of course, she is a snarky twit but I like her. The author did a good job rearranging the dialog from the vanilla game. Kind of hilarious seeing her throw down with all the critters, “like the girl in the movies Logan and Kickass.” Most of the cross talk is between the protagonist and piper so I feel it is the best we’ll ever get so best to enjoy it for what it is. I think it is cool particularly for a trip to an amusement park.

Never much liked just leaving her in Diamond City so the mod kind of fixes that story. After I am done I’ll drop her and Piper off with Preston and mama Murphy in a good settlement and let them live happily ever after. Hahaha, maybe with Seven from 3dNPC, she is hilarious also.

Agreed.

In one of my playthroughs, after the Institute was destroyed, Nat went haring off across the Commonwealth to find Piper. Maybe to tell her about the Mayor going nuts?

Other than the raining settlers, it's a pretty nice place.

And then everything broke.

I increased the build limit one time to many.

Fun while it lasted, though.

Nice!!
Okay....that actually does look historically accurate. Back when I was a little kid, there were whole sections of Lowell that were torn down. The reason was that they were basically 4 story firetraps. Many of these tenement houses were constructed in the early 1900's for immigrant mill workers and their families. I can elaborate if you like.

So my question is, how did you get all the materials to build tall like that, and what mods did you use? I have and idea for housing like that using interior plots.
