Beds not counting as beds for City Plan Contest Mod

Hi,

I've placed 5 of the blue man (sleep on surface) items as beds for the upcoming contest, but when I use the Check my Settlement, it doesn't register them as beds. I attempted to use the Leveled Beds from PBP, but they didn't import in either WSF or in a City Plan.

Additionally, the all of the assignable Blue Man items, beds and jobs, don't seem to port over to build in the City Plan when I test it.

This is my first attempt at exporting; any help is appreciated. I haven't tried with Transfer Settlements yet. I'm installing the mod now to try that.

Thoughts?

An issue for me as well. Mostly when doing the Lets Build line @Abernathy.
The PBP-leveled Beds are not recorded in WSFW-exports.
Animation markers: some yes, some no.
TS worked a bit better for the Animations for me.

PBP Blue man markers by themselves do not count as "beds". The Furniture record has to have a keyword attached that makes the item count as a bed.
Also blue man makrers will not be visible in game unless you turn them on via I think its WSFW or WS+ settings.

There are two markers in the special/ assignable/ beds section that are supposed to act as beds, but they don't seem to be working like they used to.

I forgot about those @NDCowdy! I actually used them in my CP many years ago! :) Hmmm. Not sure what to do. We won't have enough time to investigate/fix this before end of comp.

I am using one of those Blue Men as a bed in my current city plan build.
And it Did count it as a bed.
Edit: After I imported into a new save that Blue Man is not there.
The other Blue Men (standing around, leaning on railings, etc) are still there.

So... should I add another residential for the 'missing bed'?

Does this mean I can add extra Blue Men sleeping markers since they 'don't count'?

Actually in SimSettlerments/Visual/Show-In-Workshop

I was just there looking for Blue Men. So these ScreenShot773.png don't get recorded by WSFW.
But they are counted before export. So I really only have 14 not 15 beds.
I would have to add the keyword to one of those cots.

I've seen them pop up after I've left and returned to the settlement. It was unpredictable at best, though. @Sirlach, no i haven't yet but will look into it. i don't have any Bluemen on this build, but I'll see what about playing around a bit with it on another one.

Yeah. It might just be a script delay / recalculation issue.

So none of the 3 PBP>special>assignable>beds work for city plans?
WSFW doesn't record the Levelling Bed on export.
I have not tested with TS.

Can we use them for the Masters then?
Will there be time before we're done to test & fix them, at least enough to export?

So this may or may not be related to bed markers.
On my current sanctuary build during testing I noticed none of my markers were showing up in my city plan. Smoke, Raw lighting, effects, and animations were not showing up.
A look inside the .json file showed they were exported.
So i used the following command to try and reveal them "cqf kgsim_cpmanager preparetsexport true" and they all markers showed up, but lights and effects like smoke still was not seen.
I then went into workshop mode and exited and everything started working as expected.

Once imported they don't show up until After entering/exiting workshop mode.
Some of the light effects too. This is normal.

That command is for recording them with TS without going into WS mode.
Don't know Why using WS mode seems to not be desired though.

Yes, I am well aware of what the command is used for. Mine were not showing up at all by just entering workshop mode and exiting.

Indeed your use of the command was the perfect reset for that problem, since it forces them visible and then resets them after entering & exiting workshop mode.
I assumed you had the option on for them to display in workshop mode. But they still didn't.
Sometimes happens after import.
For those without access to console:
Can usually be cleared by turning off the display option, save/exit/reload and turning it back on.
