Bug Autosave/Save and fast travel significantly longer

All,

Since the update, autosaving/saving is taking minutes instead of seconds.

Also, fast travelling takes extremely long from most places now. To the point where I can get up, make a cup of coffee, and sit back down and it'll be done.

Any thoughts?
in the start of the game after the new update I have the same problem but when playing a little bit it's going better and better to loading and saving the game

Same here as well, and I would like to add that it happened for me before I actually enabled the xpac esm. I had updated SS2 and WSFW, but started the game forgetting to enable the xpac esm in nexus mod manager (I install manually and use NMM for load order and enable/disable mods).

I've just updated WSFW and Sim Settlement 2. I've not added chapter 2, and I have notice this too. It seems to be getting longer as I play. Yet file size is not significantly larger.

Do console saves work faster?

inside/outside settlement boundary?

I almost exclusively use console saves but I noticed it too.

Same here, and it's completely frozen a couple times on fast travel for me.

I'm on PC, I noticed it inside Homeplate first. But it seemed even longer at the The Castle witch I have built the settlement not a City Plan.

Same problem. Autosave will flat out freeze the game. Experimenting but haven't figured it out as of yet.

Only other thing I noticed was settlers seeming more navigationally confused than usual.

Hi y'all. Just confirming same issue.
Haven't played the game in almost a year, according to vortex. Last game I was playing was working smooth. Just updated SS2, Chapter 2 as well as the requisite mods. I'm on a new vortex profile with a lean load order and new play.

Tried it with these mods enabled as well as disabled:
  • Address Library
  • Baka ScrapHeap
  • Buffout 4
  • CanarySaveFileMonitor
  • xSE PluginPreloader

Disabled autosave and only save with console command. Freezes-up every time.

It's doing this for me too; but it'd been fine, until halfway through "Plotting the Future", now autosaves etc are taking orders of magnitude longer than normal.
Which is great since I'm also getting the "for some reason having 9 houses still isn't enough for 5 people" issue people have been reporting on and off since day 1 - it's fun to get the "Unlocked: Multi-resident Homes" message (requires 8 functional standard Residentials) but the quest still says I only have 4 built, BUT all 5 people living in that settlement are showing as having homes... this is why I'd been skipping the questline entirely, but people said CH1's stuff had been updated for CH2
