Vanilla Bug - Unsolved Autosave Crash

I went into the small waste disposal cave underneath the red rocket at the start, whenever the game tries to auto-save, or I F5 manually, the entire game goes into a full freeze and requires me to reboot and unplug-replug my PC to fix things.

Does it only do this in that cave?

I can back up that the mod is doing something weird, I am having a similar issue. Started a new game, and getting to red rocket for the first time and going into the cave the game starts to behave oddly. First dog meat won't move past the entrance, just sits at the entrance regardless of any commands I give. But worst of all, the game locks up when I try to leave the cave, or just randomly does it. It just stops responding, I narrowed sim settlements as the cause, as everything works fine when I disable the mod. Has any one come across this?

do you have any mods that makes a change to red rocket or the cave?

I am getting the same bug, but from what i have seen so far it isn't the mole rat den its the mole rats themselves. The bug happens in concord civic access and the mole rat den after the mole rats come out of the ground. however the bug doesn't occur for me when sim settlements isn't enabled.

you can avoid the crash on save bug if you use the command "tDetect" kill the rats then use it again when they are all dead.

there is another person on the forum having the same problem at "crashing-exiting-molerat-den-under-red-rocket.8839/", and has more information.

Ok let us know if it happens again

Sounds like the burrowing animal detection bug I was having, this occurs on interior cells where Molerats, Rad Scorpions or Blood Worms reside. Until The SS team squashes this bug you can enter the following term in the console: tdetect
This will toggle enemy detection off, allowing you to kill enemies and then save without freezing. Remember to enter the term again, toggling detection back on once you're done because if detection is off NPC's won't enter into dialogue with you.

We have confirmed this is not an SS bug with others able to replicate it without SS. The issue appears to be a vanilla problem.
