Question Auto Doors

So I want to use the mod Auto Doors : https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8457?tab=description
to build SS/C city plans.
I know that SS has its own auto doors for plots but not vanilla doors or gates.
The Auto doors mod has mechanisms to lock down all doors, that have the mechanisms installed, when a hostile enters a predetermined "bubble", one that can be enlarged to surround your whole city, or strategically placed.
Your settlers will no longer to be able to run outside of the city walls placed to protect them, And if you have a proper wall defense set up they will go and shoot from the top of the wall.

Anyway.....
The mechanisms require power autonomy, in that the gate lock down mechanism is normally powered down and when the "sensor" is triggered it sends power to the gate mechanism and locks the gate(s).
Sim settlements seems to take away all the wiring and radiate power, which seems like would interfere with Auto doors.
I am about to start an experimental settlement build and see if it works.
Just curious if anyone else has tried.
 
i've used auto doors for the longest time, it works, but the settlers will still try to get out of the gate and some will get out before it is locked down.
i think the best advice for stopping your settlers from running into a firefight was posted on here, when someone suggested simply putting a flat back lorry under the ground, in front of the gate, and the settlers won't cross it.
 
I know that auto doors will work if I place it in a built SS settlement, I want to know if it will work if I create a city plan with autodoors incorporated into it.
I have been using AD fro some time myself, so yes I know some will still get out the gate and I have seen the suggestion about the truck under the ground.
With proper walls setup they will run to the tops of the walls and shoot, I've done it with regularity in SS and Vanilla settlements.
 
So after much research I can confirm that City and the Autodoors mod are not compatible.
The sim settlement radiant power mechanic adds power to all power required items and breaks the Autodoors mechanisms.
Even if I don't connect any power lines anything, everything gets power when the city builds.
I also tried unchecking the power lines option when exporting, but even then, everything got power.

If I just import the city plan with TS, the power is not affected. SO that leaves TS open as an option.

I had though about doing some advanced manufacturing contraptions builds for city plans, but I fear with SS power mechanic it may not possible.
