Closed Another tax bug

So there's already a thread about the bug where residential tax rate always displays "Standard" no matter which option you choose.

However, I'm running into a different bug. In my Local Plot Report, I can see the taxes that *should* be being collected (agricultural is 2.48, residential is 9.9, etc.). It all adds up to about 17.5.

However, in my supplies menu, "Tax & Vendor Income" is stuck at 0. My maintenance costs keep rising but my income does not. I've tried turning taxes off and on again and adjusting the various tax rates, to no effect.

I’m having the exact same issue, and for some reason my Fuel and Ammo cost is increasing, even though I only have one turet and two water pumps.

Just posting to say I have the same issues, was about to create a thread.

No taxes are being paid.
Maintenance costs only go up.

Taxes are on, settlers are there with all requirements met (houses and plots assigned and constructed and all their needs are met) but my tax income is still saying 0 and they're taking money from my surplus I deposited.

I also just tested the maintenance costs by placing a load of generators and they do go up but not back down once you scrap the generators.

Looks like the only option at the moment is to turn the costs off for now.

Edit: Update - I tried turning taxes off and back on, changing all the rates from standard then back to standard and disables maintenance costs. After a little while I finally got the messages my settlers have paid tax and going to the supplies menu shows I do now have an income.

Doesn't fix the accumulating costs bug though but at least taxes seem to be working now.

Having the same "Tax & Vendor Income" problem even with the new 3.0.1 Patch. Maybe it refreshes on the first tax day? Someone can confirm that this is intended to work like that?

Although the outcome may look different most bugs that seem to have a common thread are indeed related to a specific mechanic 'misfiring.'

Either way thank you for reporting it. KG is hard at work stomping these pesky bugs.

So, my settlement just went up to level 1, and I am now receiving tax. I’m thinking there is a bug where your city must be at least level 1 to receive tax. No idea how this effects the mantaince cost bug.

Ditto on the OP's problem where 'Residential Tax Rate' always shows as 'Standard' despite whatever option I choose.

Using Sim Settlements 3.0.1, IR 2.1.7 and RoTC 3.0.0

Doh, meant to link the one where Kinggath was talking about the bugs getting fixed in the settlement mechanics and how there is some kind of corrupted structure going on and probably got so excited about it being a known issue I had a critical miss on the roll...

I'll see if I can dig up the right link

Yeah, I can confirm, Tax & Vendor Income is always showing zero as long as Fuel & Ammo Costs are greater than zero (see screenshot). When I remove all turrets and generators, Tax & Vendor Income shows the actual value, and Fuel & Ammo Costs shows minus zero.

From my testing, this is only a display bug. Looking at the plot reports, income is known, and when I wait 24 hours the game applies taxes and costs correctly. So mainly it makes planning hard.
