Question Ambush Kit Camera

I remember from last year the Ambush Kit Camera system was not bale to be export/imported properly from Transfer Settlements.
However I forgot when I did an import/export last week.

I tries scrapping and storing and rebuilding the ones I had imported but I still get an error where the game claims I have none built. So basically I think the script got broken.

I think the issue may be the game tried bringing the script with it from the previous where it had a connection to Ten Pines. Then when I imported the script got broken because I did not own or have cameras in Ten Pines.

Anyone know a quick fix for this?

Also is there any way to make the import/export ignore the cameras and monitor to prevent this?

The import/export for both TS and WSFW doesn't know about the script settings of the ingame cameras. All we our systems record is the coordinates, rotation, scale, and what the item is.

My bet is the Ambush Kit camera's are set up based on the event that triggers when the player builds them, but that same event is not fired by the import process, so the game doesn't know about the cameras. The solution would be to store them and place them again.

Not a great solution, but that's all I can think of without specifically digging into the camera code to confirm.

Thanks, yeah I tried dismantling them all, but like you said the event script was already and scrapping and storing them did no good. For some reason any built by you refused to get into the same "network."

What about making it so the CC cameras and CC monitors never get scanned? Probably the easier solution rather than messing with the scripts. Of course if people remembered to take them down before scanning for an export....

I like the cameras because I think they are a great tool at "faking your presence" to correct workshop data corruption and for visiting so SS upgrades happen without having to run all the way back across the Commonwealth.
