Adjust settlement borders in cityplans.

Not sure how you would balance this to keep it from going overly powerful, but if there was a way to expand the borders of settlements as the level up, that would be amazing. Artificially small areas like Outpost Zimonja kind of drive me nuts - There's no reason for it to be that limited, but there it is.

I find that the initial borders are much larger before I add the SS2 to it.. (I have put down turrets all around the settlement) then when I do the SS2 city plan for that settlement the borders change and my turrets are now outside the build limits.
Or in the case of Starlight Drive-in, once the SS2 city plan is implemented the build area for me shrinks to 5' around the WS and skips over to the pond in the middle where it picks up again for another 50'. to the West.

I have never seen a settlement border change when using a city plan. I have currently only used the city plans included with the base SS2 mod, (due to the fact I haven't made time to start a new play-through yet) but every one I have used fills the vanilla settlement space without changes. Sometimes I have to add extra things or fix plot types but everything is the correct size.

My understanding is the only way a city border can change is with a different mod installed. If an author uses one of those mods when developing a city plan then it would be a required mod for when the plan was downloaded. If you find your settlement borders changing I would recommend checking the other mods you have installed. Have you double checked the city plans to make sure they are compatible with SS2?

The one included with SS2 for Sunshine Tidings changes where the invisible lines are for the "build area" too. Not the glowy green border you see, which is apparently something separate, but the points you can cross before it goes "you're outside the Build Area" are definitely different - I can't use the house in the southeast corner, for example.

Yes, I have that problem with Sunshine also as well just stepping inside the community center next to it will trigger the out of bounds warning.

If you're using place everywhere, F5 turns off "outside build area"

I have found the same irritation for that settlement, and the water municipal plot in Country Crossing has the foundation, but no water plant building, though the rest of the structure is there.

You can use All Settlements Extended to increase settlement size but iirc SS2 description says to not use city plans in extended border settlements

I only get the foundation and nothing else for that building. Thought it was a fluke, I always just put a water plant there anyway.

Yeah it does but I have decided to try that anyway just to see what happens. :D If it doesn't work then I'll just have to scrap that settlement
and do a manual build instead. So far I haven't experienced any issues though for those I use city plan on; STCO, Sommerville place, Abernathy and the Castle.

I think it was meant to keep creators from requiring ASE for their city plans to work

I don't know enough to know how settlement borders are set, so I don't know if there's any way to expand them interactively or if the only method is to use a mod.

But if it's set up as a set of xy coordinates, it seems like you could attach that functionality to something like a fence pole and adjust it.

But I literally do not know what I'm talking about.

Sometimes there is a difference between the coordinate of Green border and actual border. You see this alot on add on settlements. Some don't have a green border at all and just tell you don't go past xyz. In the game code they are not mutually exclusive
