To preface this; I created a mod that adds SS2 icons to FallUI for sorting building plans in the Choose Building Plans menu. It uses the SS2_Tag_BuildingPlan and SS2_PlotTypeSubClass_* keywords to assign the proper sorting tag to them via Complex Item Sorter. In testing it, I noticed something I thought was odd. When I first unlocked power plants, Windfarms by ohnno was unlocked but had the icon for Advanced Power instead of Basic Power. I checked in xEdit, and it had the SS2_PlotTypeSubClass_Municipal_PowerPlant_Advanced keyword on it.
My question is, what are the SS2_PlotTypeSubClass_* keywords used for if it's not to select what gets unlocked?
How, engine wise, is it determined when a building plan is unlocked?
