First time interacting with Dyllan in Concord and invited to join Fallon. Behold, Dyllan praises Carnal... she this, she that, she beautiful...
WHAT?
Do you have an eye doctor in the Community? Because it's not possible that I heard right....

lol

We'll just leave him to it.. I dunno, I both love and hate how the mod treats supermutants. They are both scary monsters that rip people's heads off (and then it's really depressing) and actual characters for kinda maybe comic relief or making them more human. But that was also a thing in FNV (with more of the latter) and probably 1 and 2. I liked when FO3 had every single supermutant a big green maniac except Fawkes.

Agreed

It's been funny seeing how Super Mutants get treated across the franchise.
I mean, according to the background lore, the "FEV" that creates Muties started out as a 'gene therapy' to provide immunity to a disease called the "New Plague" that was sneaking around in Pre-War USA, but once the military got involved it was pushed more into becoming yet another "supersoldier" program.
And in Fallout 1 and 2 and NV, only a small portion of Muties came out 'stupid' (although they seem to have been more prone to various mental illnesses), heck probably the second smartest NPC in Fallout 1 was a Super Mutant, and the events of Fallout 1 should've meant there wasn't any more Super Mutants being 'made'. But no, now in the Bethesda Era we just have Orkz even if it means re-retconning another batch of the FEV into another location despite it having been a Mega Top Secret military project pre-war.

Bonus fun fact: the worst Disease added by SS2 Chapter 2 is said "New Plague" - by the stats, it's worse than even the original Black Plague (which wiped out somewhere between 1/3 and 2/3 of Europe back in the day), which fits what little lore we have about it

FO76 touched on it a bit as one of the test sites was there. I also seem to remember there being references to different strains of the FEV having a few different effects.

Bruh. Here I was thinking I've eradicated (insert Aku voice) every disease. Not even half or 1/3 lmao.

I know it's too much to ask for but now I want custom animations and appearance and behavior for every disease... Basically every horror game infected humanoid ever (and then some from irl).

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the list.... ones you hope you never see (in game or IRL)

Yeah, those last few in particular, even a settler with 10 Endurance wouldn't be guaranteed to survive it. Guess that's even more incentive to never let things get that bad in your settlements.
