What's the best way of building Agricultural plots in terms of materials and terrain leveling?
Sure, the smaller number of interior plots are exempt to such requirements.
But exterior 2x2 and 3x3 plots seem to either require level terrain--which quite often needs Clay for terraforming (wherever...
Just noticed that after acquiring--as General of the Minutemen--new settlements that were Conqueror pre-builds, that I can't delete anything that came with the settlement. Well, sometimes there are a few trees, stumps, etc. But nothing else.
Is there a workaround to this? Or is this baked in...
Wasteland Ventures is among the best of all 3-in-1 addons because it lists specific access points for each plot, as well as provides visual preview compatibility. Because of these two factors, I find myself using WV plots far out of proportion to other plots.
Should probably start a new thread on this...but as a new 3-in-1 + Conqueror user it would be REALLY nice if 100% of plots in the build menu: a) Had access opening(s) listed (e.g., "LFRF"); and b) Listing in "Building Plan Previews" mod (to get an actual visual).

Seems like "allow worker reassignment" only makes sense if you're starting a settlement from scratch. As opposed to converting a non 3-in-1 settlement to SS.
Regarding accumulated resources acting as settlement-attack-bait, I'd been using Immersive Gameplay mod https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14669 for the last year, which stops all off-screen settlement attacks. It makes them utterly, absolutely, insanely brutal--but only when you get there...

Checked the single SS agri plot (2x2 exterior): says it's producing 12 food. So I task Mama Murphy, who's running a store, with mutfruit harvesting--bam! food production drops to 99999 (i.e., -1). But...
Thanks, guys. I've been using a mixture of vanilla crops and Cannabis Commonwealth interior & hydroponic units for the last year or so of play. Have never had any probs; and the Cannibis hydroponic units are perfect for small, low/no-soil sites like the Alley and Jamaica Plains.

As I continue to "convert" my existing settlements to full or partial SS infrastructure, food production has definitely gotten weird. Typically, when I put in a SS agricultural plot all hell breaks loose, as settlers assigned to working vanilla foods get reassigned to all sorts of other jobs...
With my heavily modded game, I've regularly maxed out all--or almost all--settlements with 25 settlers. All working and with needs met. But SS makes things more tricky. Especially when transitioning from a 100% non-SS settlement.
I'd been using Uncapped Settlement Surplus; but didn't install for this playthrough as I thought it'd conflict with SS/C.
But if memory serves, settlement production caps aren't suppose to kick in until >3 settlements. That's what the readme for USS said, anyway.

15h (>1 week game world time?) into SS I've noticed that despite water generation of 138 with 11 settlers in Sanctuary, day after day there's only 15 or so new fresh water added to the settlement workbench. I understand that settlers use water, but something ain't right. In a vanilla game...
