I was curious. I noticed that some of the bigger plots needed 2-3 people. I think it's neat, seeing as it makes sense having more people work in, say, a power plant.
I'm noticing settlers assigning themselves to multiple work plots. Is there anyway to remedy this without turning off auto assign, and doing a lot of micro management?
Also, quick side question: I've noticed that the 3x3 power plots have multiple settlers assigned to them. Is this intentional?
Yeah, but i don't know what to do about. I did try a method where you do the prologue. Then right, before you leave the vault, you install ss2. I didn't get the message about it failing to load, but i am still wondering if that can have something to do with the issues im having. Everything else...
I also keep getting the message that ss2 failed to load properly when i start a new game, and have to wait for it reconstruct the save file, or something like that. I heard people say it's because there's too many mods loading up at once. Well, i tested it with only ss2 and its dependcies...
I re installed everything after doing the nuclear option. Deleted mods i didnt use anymore, updated everything, etc. Still the ss2 settings dont seem to do anything. Designer's choice doesnt work. I can fiddle around wih the settings as much as i want, but it's like the game doesn't respond to...
Ok, thanks for the info. I've heard people say vortex is superior to nmm, but if i have to figure out load orders on my own, i don't know if i should even touch it. I'm such a neanderthal when it comes to things like that.
Yeah i did the nuclear option myself a few minutes ago. I'll prbably pick it up again soon (like eventually allways do).
Two quick questions:
1. Which programs do you use to manage your mods? I've been using NMM and Loot.
2. Did you manually install ss2, or install through a mod manager?
Both. The game doesn't care. I'm done with this mod anyways. I've tried to get it working on and off for about a year. Either it's crashing, bugging out, fails to load at startup, etc. Pretty sure everything that could go wrong with this mod has happened to me. Seems i'm doomed to not be able to...
Yeah, I'm pretty sure. I compared the buildings to the picture of said settlement, and it wasn't event close. Even the vanilla settlements plans pick buildings plans from the addon packs.
I made sure i had the add-on packs aswell. That's why i'm perplexed. Just to try my luck even more, i even cheated by unlocking all the building plans, plot types, etc. just to see if that had anything to do with it. I still didn't help. Is there anything else i need to do than turn designer's...
As the title states.
Does designer's choice work at all? I turned it on in settings before i started putting down settlement blueprints, but it looks like all the buildings are just a random assortment.
Am i missing something?
I did verify integrity on steam though. Apparantly 6 files were missing. Now the game only crashes to desktop after spending a few minutes in sanctuary. I guess that's an improvement? The crashing does not seem to happen in any other settlement though. I spent an hour running around the castle...
Game froze up yet again. Spending more than a minute in sanctuary after putting down a settlement blueprint seems to be the bane of my fallout 4 existence.
I totally forgot about this thread. Real life commitments and all that jazz.
I actually did try out ss 2 yesterday, after putting fallout 4 on hiatous for many months. And you're correct - everything feels way smoother and just generally more awesome. Still got a crash though. In the lvl 0 (or...
Yeah, im having the same problem. So much stuff that doesnt get scrapped. I scrap the old buildings i had to do to finish the strangers quests, then let the city plan build. Then i go out in the world, and the game just randomly ctd's.
I tore down everything i built to finish the early quests in sanctuary, then layed down the city plan. Now my game just keep crashing to desltop very frequently.
In my infinite wisdom, i hadn't made a proper, hard save since leaving the vault. Loading from the various auto saves did not help. No biggie though. I hadn't gotten far story-wise. I did however have 4 lvl 3 settlements built up. Maybe that was the reason for the crashing somehow.
Nah, i'm not using any mods that adjust borders. I have a pretty lackluster mod list. It's basically, SS with the addon packs and contest entries + plus some armor and weapon mods, and the militarized minutemen mod.
SS went way better when i got rid of the scrap everything mod. Though, in my...
The only reason i used scrap everything was because my ocd couldn't cope with all the trash and shrubs/bushes poking through everything, like someone having a massive bush going through their living room. But now things seem to be going ok. Havent had any crashes after getting rid of scrap...
