I in no way insulted anyone or anything. The only thing I said is that they (the CPD) are despots, which they are based on the definition of the word, how they came into being (lore) and their actions. It was not a judgement or insult to say that, so you can stop that noise right there.
How...
I never was to begin with. I came and asked a simple question, you took this off into a tangent. If you wanted to debate the merits of the CPD then you should have started your own thread instead of hijacking mine.
I don't think that at all. Law doesn't "stem from authority", law "stems from consent from the people the law applies to" which includes those holding positions in and the government itself.
It makes sense because that is the definition of what a police force is. In a representational...
No they don't. I killed the CPD. They do not exist. [In this playthough.] Nobody accepted anything from them.
Whether you think it's a "good" argument doesn't matter, that is how power works. It just is. "Power" directly translates to "has a monopoly on violence" - it always has and it...
Actually, the player is not given a vote and is made the general and leader by not just Preston, but by the others in his group not dissenting (tacitly giving their approval) and yes, by other settlements joining and accepting the player as their leader. That is precisely how it works...
Except I don't know you, we have never even exchanged "hellos". You directed it at me and I found such a comment coming from a stranger very disturbing, nothing but sinister, a downright threat. Very, very foul. Do you possess no common sense? What the hell were you thinking? Where you...
I consider the Minute Men and the General of to be the "real authority" because the Minute Men are the people of the wasteland and they invested authority in the General. That the player did not seek that role to begin with only legitimizes their authority even more. With BoS controlled...
To be fair to the CPG - I was willing to go along with their despotism metted out to raiders and gunners. But then Lena told me "to keep my toy soldiers out of their way" - that's when I lost it and had to explain to her who the real authority in the wasteland is.
Well, I'm glad to see the writers for the CPD quests weren't oblivious to this then. This game I wasted those losers but another playthrough I'll grit my teeth and give them a chance.
Edit: Reverted
There is no government or country to enact laws and bestow police powers so they cannot be a police force. Had they been written to organically arise from the settlements then I would give them credence. But they didn't; they are just a group of random wastelanders with no authority who are...
It really depends on the complexity of your cell and how well the precombine and previs engines manage. If they can't optimize the level well then you may consider adding rooms and portals but you really need to design your dungeon with them in mind. The idea is that you want sections...
Sorry for the long delay, don't check these forums much. Let's get into it...
Depending on what is happening, changing cells could be bad. ie, SS2 will try not to do certain things that it knows it can't when you are not in the area and it will wait for you to go there. If you then try to...
You aren't watching for what is happening, just that something is happening. That is - things are being logged then scripts are being run and that is the only thing that matters. You're just watching to see when the logging slows/stops so you get an idea of how "busy" the VM is while you play...
I would avoid doing anything that triggers more scripts and entering/exiting workshop mode actually trigger several scripts, especially if you have things like "visible markers" enabled in WSFW. I turned on the two SS2 HUD elements to show whenever I am in a settlement location and just wait...
After? Dialogue? I mean, the first time around I saw two gunners and Jake - I watched the scene, one was less arsehole than the other, but he was still a gunner so, the door opened - I shot the gunners.
As I said, need to be less murderhobo.
Follow-up to my issue - After rolling back and not killing a certain individual in Vault 75; they were present for their parts of the scene in Vault 81.
Read: Be less murderhobo even though Fallout is a murderhobo simulator.
