It may just need to have the dust blown out of it. If dirt builds up on the fan blades, that can unbalance it and cause the noise. It can also make it so heat can't dissipate from certain components, which can cause it to overheat and shutdown. Be aware there is some risk to using compressed air...
Is my brain completely making this up, or do I remember Kinggath saying in some video or elsewhere that one of the things being planned/worked on is the ability to create plots for SS in the game, which would then be exportable for mod sharing?
I read a little more of KG's old responses and fixed it. Here's what to do:
Exit game
Disable Salvage Beacons mod
Load game and make a save with the mod disabled
Reinstall mod
Load game
Craft new beacons and a new Comm Station on the Far Harbor Island (and assign a settler)
I tried to use Salvage Beacons in Far Harbor before setting up a Comm Station, so I understand why I was getting the message "Far Harbor is too far away from the Commonwealth and requires it's own Comm Station network." I have since setup a Comm Station at Dalton Farm and assigned a settler to...
Sorry, I should have been more specific. The apostrophe was one of two changes needed. The "s" in the middle of the word "Lastest" doesn't belong. Should be "Latest".
(I'm fuzzy on this, so take it with a grain of salt.) I believe there is a certain amount of time that must pass in game before a city will upgrade. I don't know if it's a setting that can be disabled, nor when exactly that clock starts ticking, nor how long it is. I could also be completely...
Thank you! At first, I thought the sphere might be a bit too overbearing. But when I found it, I knew I had to use it somewhere, and Starlight is one of the only settlements big enough that it doesn't completely overpower the build area. So I couldn't not use it.
I nearly finished all four of my city levels and forgot all about attack markers. The [Check My Settlement] tool isn't indicating that they're required. Do I still need them or has that requirement been removed?
That would be epic!
I think the word search took me 3 or 4 days from concept to completion. It has a theme, but I'll leave that to be figured out by the community. Shouldn't be too hard once the first one or two are found.
The biggest frustration is when creating signs with the Project Blueprint Scrappy and Neon letters. One will tend to clamp to the one next to it, then when you want to tweak a previous one, you may end up moving several at the same time. It happens with other objects, too. Ultimately, things can...
Place Everywhere just has this...
clampedStoreToggle - F6 Key, toggle storing clamped objects (like signs and posters) into workshop, when underlying object is scrapped or moved into workshop storage
...which isn't what I'm looking for, unfortunately.
