After getting Jake's message about the Gunners taking over one of my settlements (Abernathy Farm), when I got there all of the Gunners are showing as friendly, and attacking them caused the settlers to turn hostile to me.
Does anyone know of a work around?

I did actually message the author sometime back and they did say that they may be working on an extra plot for the big green dude. So hopefully in the near future.
Due to the lack of suggestions/solutions to this problem I dropped a comment about it on Kinggath's latest video asking him for help.
If I don't get answer by this Friday (3 weeks from first posting this problem) I'm going to message him directly.

There actually are SuperMutant beds in FO4, so it would be possible to make a plot for him.
All standard companions can use any normal human resident plot, although it would be nice to have specific plots for them as well.
I've managed to select the plan I want, but when I get to the "Wait for the attack to begin" option the game just doesn't load it. It's infuriating as all hell.
Please, please, please, does anyone know if there is a "setstage" command to get me beyond this issue? I've waited/wasted over 5 hours (in total) hoping that the attack would actually start, so I can get to build an HQ. :sad
I'm really, really stuck on this. I made a save just before accepting the option to start (wait) for the attack, just in case I had to reload for some reason, but each time I accept the wait for the attack my screen fades to black and the vault tech loading icon appears at the bottom right of...
Even though I've dealt with the Gunners and returned to Jake (i.e quest complete) the "fight music" from Hostile Takeover just doesn't stop playing.
Currently running version G.
N.B. This also happened with the during my previously reported bug, where the gunners wouldn't spawn.
Having looked at the forum, it would "seem" that this quest normally takes place at Sanctuary for most players, but for some reason, mine is taking place at Vault 81 Entrance Settlement.
However, even though Captain Wes's recorded message is playing there aren't any Gunners there.
