Over at All settlements Extended it says not to use the unofficial patch because of conflict .... I'm not sure what to do. I feel that I should use the unofficial patch but not if it causes conflict with SS. If the conflict is with ASE then maybe I should drop that mod.

if remember correctly kinggath said somewhere about that you have to have unofficial fallout patch all DLCs. please correct me if im wrong there. if im right then its ASE thats conflicting

To my understanding, it's not a huge conflict- just that sometimes players find that settlers won't engage in SS buildings outside the build zone.

FWIW, I'm using Build High (another settlement size increasing mod), and it's worked fine so far.

I'm just spitballing here, but this sounds related to a vanilla issue where settlers stick to a small part of the build area. Perhaps adding in the sandbox expansion mod would fix this?

I guess you need to weigh the pros and cons, it does fix and help to finish off some quests that are just dead ends and fix other things that were fumbled on the 1-yard line by Bethesda, I always include it in my load order.

It's a Bethesda game, so you need an unofficial patch. It has been that way at least since Morrowind, and by now I simply can't imagine them to actually fix all the bugs themselves.
LOL yes. if beth. makes a game period there will always be a unofficial patch NEEDED

So using the patch, SS and ASE won't break the game or save; just maybe your Settlers won't work there?

From what I read in the Posts section for the All Settlements Extended mod on the Nexus, the reason why Neeher doesn't recommend using UFO4P is because of a mod conflict. He doesn't say that it doesn't function but he does say there is a conflict that might cause unknown damage. I haven't found any further details other than that. They seem to function together so far in my games but I'm not sure what the conflict does to the game as a whole. I'd probably know better if I'd just stop modding my FO4 game and just play the darn thing through! I personally have no intention of getting rid of the UFO4P patch though.

Fo4edit shows not conflicting records between the 2 that would be cause for concern, wonder what they are talking about, would be nice to get actual answers over "mod conflict" or "possible damage". What and how please

Yes I agree. I have no idea, just repeated what I read in the comments for his mod on the Nexus.
