Question Conqueror Vassal Assault Only for Egret - Did I Miss Something or Is There a Bug

In my game 7 (see https://simsettlements.com/site/ind...inutemen-liberator-a-new-saga-update-4.13153/ ), the War Planners Desk shows only an outpost assault is possible - no vassal assault for Egret. I have tried the following:
  • PLAN A - eliminated the Rust Devil guards/robots and 10 of the 13 tinkers, and received the assault complete message. Eliminated Phyllis and Egret became allied to me. With 3 surviving tinkers, the War Planner Desk at the Castle only shows an outpost assault is possible. Fast travelled to Hangman and sent 1 settler to Egret - that did not work. Tried the console disable command for the 3 tinkers - that did not work. Eliminated the 3 tinkers with my laser, but left the settler - that did not work. At the moment, the only possibility, is to make Egret an outpost and not a vassal.
  • PLAN B - reloaded a save immediately after getting the assault completed message, eliminated the 3 remaining tinkers and Phyllis, fast travelled to Sunshine and sent 1 settler to Egret, fast travelled to the Castle, and the War Planners Desk still shows only an outpost assault.
Clearly, either I have missed something or there is a bug.

Any help/suggestions are appreciated.

When this has happened to me it was simply I did not have an Outpost close enough to the target settlement to register as a vessel target.

The solution was to make a nearby settlement an outpost.

Same thing happened before the below video:

Waushakum Pond was too far away I had to make Neehers Roadside Pines location an Outpost then Waushakum Pond came up and registered as a vassal target.

The two closest Outposts are Oberland and the Castle - may need something closer.

There may be a problem with the distance calculation. Did a vassal assault of Taffington that I initiated from my Covenant outpost. After receiving the completed assault notification, spent some time looting/cleaning up, and then checked my map logistics, see first image. There was no link, so I added a logistics plot. The next game day travelled back to Taffington and stored the logistics plot, and waited several real time minutes - there was no link, see second image.
