Solved Another assignment question - Warriors

After performing a vassal assault on Sunshine Tidings, I did not assign anyone to be a guard there as I did not really have enough warrior to spare. Now, I would like to reassign one or two to man the guard posts but I see that you can not move them to vassals, only outposts.

Is there any way to get one of my unemployed warriors to take over guard duty at a vassal other than using the console to move them and assign them to the guard posts? I suppose I could set them up as a patrol instead, but I would much rather have them manning the guard towers.

It's sort of a two step process. I go through this when a high-ranking assault minion gets auto-assigned to a vassal as a guard. Nope. Buddy, you got a mini-gun... you're going back home for the next assault.

A: Send the current guard to the HQ by first changing their role to Warrior. Then open their Manage window again and assign them to the HQ. You might have to do that in the opposite order? Can't recall.
B: Go to your HQ and find the newbiest noob recruit and assign them as a Guard. The command menu may ask you where, or you'll have to open it again. Assign them to the vassal of your choice. After a day or two in game you may want to go to that vassal and manually assign them to a martial plot if they don't automatically pick one.

Just following up. This worked exactly as described. Changing the role to guard gave a prompt for a destination. Once they arrived in the settlement, I then had to assign them to a martial plot.
