After a few days into my new SS adventure it's become apparent that the main bottleneck limiting settlement population size is the requirement that incoming settlers have a SS residential plot.
For big settlements like Sanctuary, not a problem.
But I'm working on Red Rocket just using interior plots, and after placing 7 residentials have found that I've got no choice but to build additional floors in containing structures, in order to place more interior plots, as exterior 3x3's gobble up way too much space.
Before SS, I'd place beds in hallways; or create dorms to pack in up to 25 settlers in pretty much every settlement. But with SS it doesn't look like that's going to be possible. Or will it?
Are there any residential plots that can house 2 settlers instead of just one?
Is there a way to disable or modify the SS residential requirement so that at least some non-SS beds will apply?
Any advice most appreciated.
