I suppose this question is open to anyone, but I'd be interested in hearing from Kinggath if he has time.
In the latest Kinggath podcast with Damanding the topic of modpacks is touched on, and there is a thought that this could separate the mod author from the mod, except for times when a problem occurs.
Where I am going with this is, look at how many posts on these forums there are, where people have had issues with CTD's and asked for help with their load order, and see how many times a helping hand suggests that the OP removes all mods and starts a new game with UFO4P, SS, Conq & WF.
Isn't that small collection of mods a modpack right there?
As I see it, those few mods are all you need to get the game going. By collating those mods into a modpack people are given a a stable package of mods that will enable them to start FO4 with Conqueror & SimSettlements and from that starting point, they are then free to add whatever mods they want to their game going forward.
Could that be something that could, as time passes, be considered a 'SimSettlements recommended modpack" designed to get people up and running with SS & its various addons? It could be expanded upon with various megapacks, which in turn are also modpacks of sorts, and as new mods are released, they too, could be curated into the build going forward?
Anyway, just a thought that struck me while listening to yet another worthwhile podcast.
