Question Jammer is always "busy" after v4.1.7 patch

Hi everyone,

I posted this issue on Kinggath's YouTube video about the update and he told me to come here for more in-depth help. After the patch, Jammer has gone unresponsive. I have 2 outposts: Sanctuary is my main base and I also have Tenpines Bluff. I have three vassals: Abernathy, Starlight and Zimonja. Four commanders have rocked up: Sarah, Jason, Brutes and Torque. PS: I love, love, love Jason! I made him our resident "doctor", gave him Pete's Cabin to live in and The Chop Shop to work his magic. He's very happy. :rofl

Side note: Brutes keeps approaching my character every time I get close to him and repeating his opening lines to recruit him. He's already assigned to my main base - has a job and everything. He just locks me in the same opening scene, it plays and he goes about his business. He was doing this before v4.1.7.

Anyway, I think the last scene with Jammer to play was the one where the guy is complaining about his gun being rusted up. The tutorial scenes I've gotten are the guy leaving because of not having enough caps coming in and Jammer shooting him, the one where the raider complains about food and talks about getting slaves and the rusty gun one. I think that is it.

I helped Wolfgang, got the cabin set up for The Cook and finished all of Will's stuff. I believe, unless there is some random scene in there that I can't remember, the next quest is the one where the raider reports that a scouting party has been killed. This would be the start of Ophelia's quests.

Things I have tried: I have waited around in the base basically all night. Left my computer running and went to bed. Went to another cell and waited 30 days for the cells to reset. Looked for the raider in my base so I could get him to Jammer. I could not find him anywhere.

My main base is exactly how I want it and the last resort is rolling back, which may not even fix it. I really don't want to do that. It took me forever to build that base. lol.

I have thought about temporarily moving my main base to Tenpines to see if that fixes the issues, but haven't tried it yet.

Make a hard save first in case you need to roll back. Get ready for a fight then run this:
cqf kgconq_outpostmanager TestRaid 250fe
I've had issues with him and triggering a raid can clear what ever part he's stuck on I find.
I don't know if this will fix your problem, it has for me in the past but it's a safe way of trying to reset him.

I tried it and it sadly did not work. There have been many raids on my main base (all Gunners) since he glitched out and he still doesn't move. I went back to the save right before the update and he is fine. The next save after the update he is glitched out.

I rolled back to the version before the update and my save to before I installed it to see if it made a difference. He is working normally now. Made it to naming the gang which I could not do after the update. I forgot about naming the gang. That was where he must have been hung up. The guy complained about the rusty gun and straight after that Jammer ask me to name the gang. He didn’t after I updated. He just stood there.

Anyway, I’m rolling it back and going with it. I lost 5 levels and some of the detail work on my main base, but I’m not fussed. Not sure why he’s bugged with the update for me. Something in my load order is screwing with it, but I can’t imagine what it could be. My mod list is pretty simple. Nothing too crazy.

I've had a pretty much identical issue. Jammer stuck in a 'This individual is busy'. I think it will have been just after taking third vassal so should be starting to set up the Ophelia quests. Tried the various tricks like waiting, heading away and back again, did a couple of raids, got raided once, moved him about with console, looked out for likely conversation partners and moved closer to him and yet more waiting with no change. Guess it's going to be a roll back fix.

Whoops looks like I didn't do enough full saves this play through, rolling back will be effectively restarting. Might go try a few other things 1st,

Maybe the team will look into it and find an issue, so you don't have to start over. I'm OCD about saving in Bethesda games. They are just too unreliable so I save a lot. But, I still lost a ton of levels and building.

I was building a raider city plan for Sanctuary. I kept my save where Jammer is broken just for the build, so not too much of a loss. Just the levels. Probably not a good idea to build city plans in an active playthrough. Lessen learned.

You wouldn't believe how frustrating it is to read you guys are having problems with this, we went through all of the quests in the last couple of weeks to squash issues with them.
The new scene rescue system should be resetting any of these scenes that don't complete after you've slept for a few hours.

If you guys can upload saves of where your stuck to Drive or Dropbox and link them here so KG can have a look at them that would help.

Totally understand that things like this happen. This is a huge mod with many working parts. I adore it! And NDCowdy is right. This is the first time I've had an issue with any update. They are usually so problem free that I don't even question updating.

Here's my save.

So, I rolled back to before the update and I've had the same problem crop up. This time I found the guy, but he and Jammer are doing nothing but having a really intense staring contest. :lol

Holy cheese balls I got it working! :yahoo On a whim and since they were stuck anyway, I went ahead and installed v4.1.7 right there at that point. As soon as I loaded in they went into their scene and I got Ophelia's first quest.

Yee haw! Thanks Kinggath, was worried I'd just missed something simple. Better go update.
