Question A couple of bugs

So... I started a new play through, going the Minuteman route this time so I have Conqueror uninstalled and SS updated to 4.1.3. Ran into a couple of minor bugs. One I nearly lost Abernathy Farms due to the "Beds: 4096" bug that still seems to be kicking about, their happiness plummeted to 13% before I got back over there to Reset Plots to fix that. The other is I was making a bunch of Assaultrons (I just finished up Automatons DLC so I had access to the robot workbench) to do the supply routes from Greygarden to my other settlements (a central spoke layout). Just finished making Assaultron suppliers for Abernaty, County Crossing, Sanctuary, Sunshine Tidings, Ten Pines, and The Castle. I made one more titled "RedRocketToGreyGarden" when SS decided to fight me. SS auto assigned the new Assaultron to Defense. I selected it while I was in Settlement Building mode, hit "Q", picked Red Rocket, moused away, moused back and it was "Unassigned" , I repeated this several times with no luck on getting it to be a Supplier for Red Rocket to Greygarden. I finally dashed off to Red Rocket and made a new Assaultron and from there it worked fine, it went about it's merry way between Red Rocket and Greygarden. Kinda annoying, wanted all the suppliers to be from Greygarden so only one settlement is restricted to a max of 50% happiness due to having a robot / synth 'settler' .

The beds bug will settle down after you visit the settlement a few times.

The caravan assignment problem can be overcome by changing assignments in the holo. You either need to make sure there are no available plots in Greygarden or change the holo settings so auto assignment doesn't prioritise SS jobs over vanilla ones.

I’m curious: was that 4294 beds?

If so, how did you end up with negative beds?

(4294 is a symptom of a negative (signed) integer being put into an unsigned integer variable. AKA sloppy programming in FO4.)

* throws up hands * Damned if I know. I have it all on automatic. I solve the settlements problem, build a table, pick a plan and build it, no leader. I leave and it's up to them to solve any other problem until the mod bugs out.Seen this bug since ver 4.0.x and it persists even to this day. Starting to wonder if it is a game bug.

Not enough beds, not enough beds registering as beds, when the report was made to the Pipboy???

You'd just need one more settler than beds, right? Or maybe a bed placed in a dead zone or a corner of the settlement that doesn't get included in the reporting for some whacky reason.

I have since found that the 4294 issue is the pipboy equivalent of the 999 bug in the Workshop HUD.

The pipboy error means negative beds as in less than 0. This can happen easily since beds don't count if the game thinks they are unshelterd. I highly recommend everyone turn off the shelter mechanic using Workshop Framework. It doesn't solve the pipboy issue, but it prevents you from losing happiness due to it.
