Question Settlement causes possible game crashes

I am not sure if Sim Settlement is the cause of this, but I have tried everything else, without any results. I am getting game crashes (game drops out and returns to desktop) when I fast travel to a settlement controlled by Sim Settlements and only those at LEVEL 3. I suspect it has to do with the placement of the "Fast Travel Mat" as it has occurred at the other locations, namely Sanctuary Hills, at this location I can walk into that settlement and move the mat and all is fixed. However, others like Jamaica Plain, Grey Garden, and recently The Slog, I cannot even get near these settlements without the game crashing and dumping to the desktop. I have reinstalled my game 4 times in the past month thinking it was the game, verified my video driver and direct x, run the game in windowed, borderless mode, all per Bethesda Softworks recommendations, but the results are the same. I get just so far into the game get 8 or more settlement to Level 3 built and suddenly the crashing starts. Can anyone PLEASE advise. Just once I would love to continue this game without having to rebuild it from scratch again. As a further note, the only other mods being used are a single weapons mod, a wiring mod (extends length of wires), CBBE and a couple of associated mods for CBBE. Nothing else. I do have a few plug-ins that I have disabled but cannot remove (power armor etc.) Thank you for any advise.

Sorry, but I am not going to give you some wildly complicated or technical suggestion. :declare

I have found that if you choose to walk into settlements at this point in your game much of what you are experiencing will be alleviated. :bye

There are a lot of things that need to get updated "has changed in those cells." Walking into all your settlements is a good idea as it allows for all the game systems to run and for things to "catch-up"

It is a vanilla bug. There is a ton more content that gets added with a modded game. Level 3 has a lot of things going on and added to a cell. So, all the mod content does add to strain/resources needed to load everything quickly.

Walk-in, your game might thank you for it.

Thank you for your suggestion, however, this has already been tried, and from different locations leading into the settlement and from as far away as say Finch Farms is from The Slog (for example), the end result is the same, I will get about half way there, and get booted out of the game. Something corrupts the settlement when the first crash occurs and I cannot return ever again without rebuilding. (It is really kind of weird). As mentioned in the open, I suspect the Travel Mat, as I was able to correct the issue by moving it to the edge of the settlement (in Sanctuary Hills) but cannot get close enough to any others to do this.
