No new settlers?

I have both Sim Settlements/Industrial Revolution installed, but when i build a recruiting beacon I do not get any new followers(Castle for one instance) I have about 20 hours in the playthrough and still none. Any idea whats up?

So not even ONE settler? You're settlements are stuck with 0 settlers? Or do you have the limit (point in charisma + 10)? Have everyone an own bed?

Sounds strange. The mod doesn't change anything with the respawn rate of your settlements. Ok, perhaps a little bit the happiness, but that shouldn't be the point

I have 1 person in the castle, (the one who comes with it) the recruitment beacon is on, I have 10 beds set up plenty of food/water/defense so the place should at least be getting 1 or 2 more settlers but as i stated i have received none at any settlement with a recruitment beacon. Just lost as to what to do and my Charisma is 9 so i should be getting at least a few i believe.

It's not down to SS. I had this problem way before SS was a mod.
Some settlements I had tons of people turning up, in others almost none. (Okay so slight exaggeration on the figures there, but I hope you see what I mean).
Personally, I'd advise, just get on with the game and let settlements do there thing!
To quote the movie, "if you build it they will come"!

You can try to send settlers from other settlements to those empty villages. They will perhaps "reset" it, or then the settlements they came from will fill up again. At least I hope so :)

I'm going to keep playing problem is NO settlement is getting anyone, its not like some are huge and some are vacant, they all are empty besides the pre established ones. That is my worry

Prior to SS coming along, I would periodically get this problem at Starlight in particular. Sometimes it would work, but they would come slowly and other times they'd never show up. If I made a bunch of beds (the storage room under the movie screen is great for this) it usually fixed the issue and they would start coming. I haven't had a no settler issue since I started using SS, but Starlight still has the slowest new settler rate of all the settlements I've tried. They come but not very fast. Other settlements have them coming in like gangbusters but not Starlight. Have you tried just building things like beds regardless of having no people? I found that the pre-existing beds didn't help anything, I had to build them to get around this.

A good way to get settlers is complete 'Automatron' and dont kill the mechanist, then do the rogue robots missons for her, each one has a chance of being in spot where there will be three npc's fighting the robots, try to save them and then talk to them (if they spawn as settlers) you send them to your settlements. :)

Might just be bad luck on my part, but if you go the automatron route. Do it befor you finish main quest. After that all I got was minutemen.

I will try all these methods, just frustrating is all, I now have a beacon turned on in every settlement and not a single one of them is receiving a settler been playing for the last 5 hours. Just at a loss is all.

I'm seeing something similar with no new settlers showing up. My issue is with Dalton farm in Far Harbor (which I just started), what happens when you go mess around with another settlement or quest for a few hours?

There's definitely something weird going on, I can't even spawn/assign a settler anymore in any settlement. It spawns but won't do anything I tell it to.

My guess is that you have a mod which included vanilla workshop scripts in it that are now outdated and it's broken your settlement system.

Edited to add that if you post your mod list we may be able to help.

I'll post a mod list when I get home. Is there anyway to resetquest on the settlement scripts to nuke the old ones and reset the new ones?

you could run in FO4Edit and look for conflicts on the workshop scripts

lost me with that mytigio, not that savvy but the mods i currently have in load order are
1. Sim Settlements
2.War Never Changes
3.Sim Settlements:Industrial Revolution
4.Sim Settlements:Wasteland Ventures
5.Tales from the Wasteland
note-everytime i try to place sim setttlements lower it jumps back up to 1.

i use war never changes as well but I was told it should at the bottom or close to the bottom of the mod order
don't know if that will make a differnace for you

unlimited companion framework can cause this issue of no new settlers spawning as well just in case you might have missed it in your list. The way the mod works allowing you to recruit anyone even random npcs it has potential to really screw up your settlement. I never had a problem with it but I only ever recruited unlocked followers so ied have cait, stong, valentine, ada and so on with me at once all dressed up in army fatigues with the m2216 :)

The reason it jumps up is because Sim Settlements is an ESM (a "master") where as the others are ESP's (normal mod files)
