Question No more settlers arriving

Hi,

I know this problem has probably been posted at least a million times but I can't seem to find an active topic about it right now...
So I'm at spectacle island with 33 settlers including companions and the ones from tales of the Commonwealth, but no more settlers have been arriving for in-game weeks now. All the settlers needs are covered by far, I set max unemployed to 5, free residential and job plots are available and I set "ignore carisma" to on. Workshop framework is also installed and I noticed a similar option for charisma there which I toggled accordingly... Any suggestions?

I tried spawning them using console commands but they won't count as settlers for some reason and I'm unable to assign them. Also i would prefer a more "immersive" way :grin

i know you have ignore charisma settings enabled, but even so, i'd wear charisma increasing armour and drink drinks/take meds and see if that allows you to spawn in more/send more to spectacle island.

you could also spam the rogue robot quest from the mechanists lair which has a chance to spawn settlers that you can send to a settlement and any/all charisma checks are ignored completely.

you can, with dlc and creation club mods get charisma really high and get up towards 60 settlers. in theory with charisma ignored as you have it set - whatever your characters charisma is shouldnt matter at all - but - i wonder about spectacle island because that place is really weird when it comes to settlement building and i wonder if there's something amiss with the location which means you've hit some unknown limit?

Thank you 1ae0bfb8 I will keep trying, while I'm running out of ideas..

Happiness is normally above 90, I even had it at 98/99. Also as I mentioned the needs are always maxed out.

You should not be going over the vanilla limit of 20 anyway , they will start getting unassigned automatically and other funny (and at the same time not very funny) stuff will start to happen.

If you're going to have a ton, at least only assign 20 of them to their respetive resources and keep everybody else unassigned to any job / anim markers, you also don't overbuild crops / turrets , just enough to keep the needs of the settlement ok.

The vanilla limit was 42 or 43 settlers, 46/47 in Sanctuary if you waited to rescue the museum idiots. The GOTY version was unlimited settlers with Rogue Robots quest from Automatron.

If you have an issue where settlers start unassigning themselves from stuff then you an issue with a mod.

The only thing vanilla will unassign themselves from is crops, and then only to change which crops they are doing because you have unassigned crops planted.

keep everybody else unassigned to any job

Settlements stop recruiting one you have four unassigned settlers (and you visited so they get that unassigned flag.)

you also don't overbuild crops / turrets , just enough to keep the needs of the settlement ok.

I had hoped you meant, do not plant more crops than you have workers. That is because doing that causes glitches in the scripting and unnecessary queue of settlers reassigning themselves to empty crops every time you visit. It also can lead to data corruption and crashing the settlement data to 0s.

However you said the needs of the settlement. That makes no sense considering the website you are on. You need to exceed the settlement needs to allow for growth of residential plots.
