Question Robot Morale Officer and Graygarden

I posted a similar issue about a year ago, and it never really came to any kind of resolution.

I have Codsworth in charge of Graygarden, and currently have 1 human settler plus Codsworth and the robots that come with the settlement. Even though Codsworth is in charge, I'm showing a -26 robot happiness penalty in the happiness report, and the settlement happiness rating is dropping like a rock.

Is it possible that the Graygarden robots, not being Automaton robots (can't be upgraded, for example, last I checked) are treated differently by the happiness routine in a way that RMO doesn't counter?

It's the same with other Automatons as well.

However it works, if it works, doesn't seem to involve removing the Robot penalty you see in the report.

Seems to me, although it has been forever since I used Codsworth as a leader, that it front loads some amount of happiness to the total settlement score (when you first assign him the score shoots up over 100) that then degrades back down over time. Like I said that's my very hazy recollection.

There are much better and more reliable ways to deal with robot happiness than Codsworth. I just assign Cods to an Industrial City Diagnostics Station (it will get 6 robots to 80 happiness).
Of course every time I return to the settlement, I have to reassign him to the plot.

Hmm. I did notice that the settlement happiness started at 80, which was much higher than the other settlements, before it started plummeting.

I'm not running any "unofficial" Sim Settlements add-ons at the moment. I guess I'll just cross my fingers that as the human population increases, the penalty will be lessened. Plus I know at least one entertainment plot will eventually show up.

you can alter default robot happiness via the holotape and set it to a value higher than the default of 50. i set mine to 100 because the happiness penalty never made any sense to me. if you set it to 100, see if that alters the happiness calculation in your settlement?
