Question Inconsistent CTD when fast travelling/attempting to enter indoor cells

I don't actually know if this has to do with Sim Settlements or not, since I only have the vaguest understanding of how scripting works in general. The crashing, like it says on the tin, seems to mostly happen when I attempt to fast travel - but not just to a settlement, it does it when I'm trying to fast travel anywhere. Less frequently, it also CTDs when I'm trying to enter any indoor cell. Following suggestions in various threads that Google brought up I enabled papyrus logs, the most recent of which can be viewed via a link i can't post, thanks to the annoying posting limitations on posts with links.

I'm using Vortex and I'm running a 64-bit system with 16 GB RAM, an Intel i7-8750H CPU, and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card. My load order is in the next post.

Stuff I've done in an attempt to fix it:
  • Had Steam recheck game file integrity
  • Reinstalled mods in case something got corrupted
  • Used the xEdit quick autoclean function on stuff LOOT told me to (none of them were SS-related though)
  • Cried a little
  • Installed Conqueror, despite having little interest in the main functionality of the mod, because in a previous papyrus log I noticed that it was looking for Conqueror-related assets.

I know there was a corrupted texture in at least one SS-related build but because I'm an idiot I didn't look to see what build it was so I would know which SS mod it was in, but I have a screenshot here.

I haven't made it to Starlight (where the screenshot was taken) because I crash when trying to fast travel there and frankly after three days of metaphorically slamming my face into this problem I'm too impatient to walk my happy ass there from the Castle. If I need to, let me know and I'll try.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated because I have no idea what I'm doing and I just want to play my game, hopefully without restarting again. I have nearly 300 hours into this damn game and I've never even gotten further in the main storyline than killing Kellog. I am a very tired and frustrated potato.

Thanks for reading, and thank you in advance for any help or advice you may have.

Thanks for the suggestion, but what do I need to manually adjust? I'm happy to do it if I know what needs to be done.

EDIT: I disabled Scrap Everything and was able to fast travel into Starlight no problem (thank you so much, Nick!!), where I discovered that the screwy texture is still screwy! Alas, it seems I have more than one issue.

But this time I actually remembered to check which plot design it was, LOL.

[KYT] Thou Shalt Not Pass! by Kytampe is the design in question with some funky texture stuff going on. Is it a corrupted texture? Missing? Should I try re-downloading it from the Nexus and see if that fixes it?

I'm also confused since I did try disabling Scrap Everything before and I was still crashing. :scratchhead

Thats the creators bad not yours just a texture issue shouldnt hurt the game :), I use Nexus Mod Manager and theres little arrows on the plugin tab to let you easily reorganize mods :D

I just CTD while trying to fast travel again LOL so I spoke too soon earlier.

I read that corrupted textures can cause crashes whenever the game tries to render it, that's why I want to fix it. But if it's a missing texture, not a corrupted one, then you're right, it should be fine. I'm just not sure which I'm looking at, I just know it shouldn't be bright purple, haha!

Thanks again for your suggestions, I'll change my load order around some and see if that helps.

I've seen that same pic in a previous post not more than 2 days ago just cant find the thread rn to give more info, maybe change that house plan for now just in case :/

Im not a very good reader haha but I started out with Vortex and switched to Nexus Mod Manager its really easy.

I got angry when trying to switch to MO2 and did the digital equivalent of nuking from orbit, lolwhoops. But in the process I kinda gave myself a crash course in using MO2, so...at least I learned something from this adventure in frustration?

NMM is not bad, but its a waste of space HDD and lifespan, at least for heavy modded setups its a no go, since it installs everything twice, once in the data folder, and another in the VirtualInstall, that means you're wasting 2x the space per mod, if you don't have TB's to waste, this is an issue, not to mention the whole array of features you're missing out by not using MO2, honestly its a life saver once you learn to exploit every feature it offers, sounds silly, but believe me once you make the change, you won't go back.
