OT Where can I find Power Pylons to build?

I've looked everywhere but can't find them. I have one small Generation directly powering a few Settlement builds, but surely building a pylon/wire network and a larger generator would be more efficient. Really basic, but I can't find the damn things. Thx

Ok when in workshop mode. Look for the lightbulb indicating power.
Then go up one. Now go to the right until you find the poles section.
Or just go up one on each section and you will eventually find lamp posts to attach your wires to ok?

Hope that helps :)

Perhaps this helps: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6727/?

You can chose for yourself how much energy a windmill should produce. As a friend of green power I did the setting for 50 energy.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share what must seem really obvious to you, but which was totally confusing this newbie. :)

Well obviously not THAT obvious or I would have remembered the dang name of it lol.

Hey we were all new once. Sadly some prefer to be [family website now hmmm], um idiots with bad egos and hurt others rather than help them :)

Hey, whew I did good there :) lol

None of us are born with knowledge. So ask away :)

Don't forget that you can also get other generators etc at Nexus in the form of mods as well.
A simple one is this.
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1029/?

If you haven't joined Nexus you should.
It is free in spite of the direness of the pay page.
Just scroll down until you see the free part :)
I was confused when I first went there myself and didn't join for too long a time until someone pointed it out to me :)

Lastly, ALWAYS read on how to remove a mod if the author has special ways to do it.

I hope this all helps :)

I played FO4 a bit once upon a time and know Nexus is just essential for any game they support - they have been my go to place for Beth Games since Oblivion. This time I'm playing very slowly to experience more of the story with a lot of focus on figuring out Settlements, SS and Homemaker transform the game. Having finally found the Power Pylons which were hiding in plain sight, I'm now tinkering with power and was disappointed at the silly low level of Generator output. Better Generators is exactly something I wanted and is now installed.

So far the only settlers I have are the 5 I got for cleaning out Concord. It seems I have to complete the Concord Minuteman refugees come to Sanctuary story arc before I can start attracting SS settler, time will tell. Lots of experimentation. Newest trick is the Planters you told me about with Homemaker. Side goal is a garden of herbs used in Cooking. This is really fun, though I haven't shot anything in a couple of days. Well other than accidentally shooting Shaun who kept bugging me to work for him, felt good but he just got back up. He really irritates me as he thinks this is his settlement, when I invited him to stay here and he is often messing around my gear. This probably reviles something about me, ie keep your grubby hands off my stuff. LOL :)

I use one that is basically a conduit piece that puts out insane amounts of power when I feel too lazy to dedicate a ton of space to the number of fusion generators i would need to actually run my settlements. 30 fusions eat too much real estate even if you pave everything and hide them underneath. I generally will do a powerhouse with 10 or so generators and then use the cheaters to inject more juice when needed.

50 residential, 10 to 20 industrial, 10 agriculture, 10 commercial and the rest on misc duties and happiness/defense.
