Hello fellas.
I'm new here, so pardon if there was bunch of similar threads made by others, but I'm just not sure what causes my problem.
So, basically I have my own "base" at Sanctuary, I built it however I wanted to, and placed some of the recreational, industrial and commercial plots, just so my settlers would have work and also for resources.
Red Rocket, on the orher hand, is "maintained" by Codsworth, he is building the city, I had quite a lot of notifications about upgraded plots both at Sanctuary and Red Rocket while I was busy with the quests and exploring.
The last week or so, only mods that I installed are:
• Portable Junk Recycler
• Commonwealth Conifers Redux ((basically it's just a trees orverhaul))
• Renovated Furniture
• Easy Homebuilder and Working Double Beds (Rebuild your Sanctuary)
• Do It Yourshelf - clutter for shelves and bookcases
• Ellen - the cartographer

None of this mods edits Red Rocket or Sanctuary (or it's area) in any way, except the Conifers Redux, but I deleted it and it wasn't the problem, game still crashes. Also I haven't built any of the new furniture, that came with those mods yet, neither in Sanctuary or Red Rocket, or even in any other settlement, because these two are my main ones.

I have read that some people had problems with Sim Settlements, but these posts were old, so I guess most of the problems are fixed by now.
I would try to destroy the city of Red Rocket, but:
1. I don't know how.
2. Game usually crashes when I'm approaching, when I just fast traveled (like 5-15 seconds after spawning in the area after fast traveling there). Once I had like solid 2-4 minutes in Sanctuary before the crash, I had hopes that problem was gone..

So basically I'm not sure if it's the Sim Settlements that causes this problem, but I don't know where else could I seek help.

Thanks.

When you removed Conifers Redux, did you roll back to a save from before you installed it, or keep going on a current save?

Please post the rest of your load order.

Did you add the complex city plans, or are you using the default optimized plans?

If you do decide to destroy the Red Rocket settlement, there is a remote self-destruct option in the holotape.

ETA: It may also be worth checking out The Settlement Recovery Procedure - Instructions for Recovering a Problem Settlement in the educational vault, although tbh if your on a fairly new playthrough it may not be worth the trouble of some of those options.

ETA2: Conifers Redux also likely required disabling precombined meshes, which can cause problems with city plans as they already use a lot of processing power. Make sure your .ini file has bUseCombinedObjects=1 not 0.

Yes I reverted to the save that was made before installing the Conifers Redux.
I can't upload my load order at this moment, sorry, I'm not at my PC at the moment. But I will upload it later.
I have approached Red Rocket from the other side and there was no crash for like 10 minutes, however Sanctuary crashes instantly when I'm crossing the bridge or fast traveling to it.
I'm using default city plans, for with "medium" settings, so it wouldn't be too much detailed, because my PC is quite old.

Which .ini file are we talking about? I couldn't find such line/command or whatever under fallout4.ini, fallout4custom.ini or fallout4Prefs.ini

I think it is generally in Fallou4.ini. If you don't have it anywhere, your game is using the default setting and has not disabled precombines, so that is not the problem.

It sounds like the problem is at Sanctuary rather than Red Rocket, which is unfortunate since that's the hand-build one.

There is an education vault thread on settlement crashes here, but as you said, it's a bit on the older side.

Are you using Workshop Framework or UFO4P? If not, using one may help.
Have you raised the build limit in Sanctuary at all?

It may help to enter Sanctuary walking, not running or sprinting, from a non-RR side. If you are able to do that, you have a few more options for problem-solving.

Please do post the load order when you get the chance.

Been a long time on this post. If you still have issues, please post to Sim Settlements Help.
