Solved How to pay deficit in my farm?

I conquered Sanctuary as main HQ and Abernathy as a farm settlement. To dicover ihow many ppl were farming i activated the option to control it and built a turret.
Now Abernathy is in deficit, think some 5 10 caps a day, sure not a problem at level 25, but i dont have the option to repay it and deposit some caps as a buffer; the town is enslaved and doesnt care being run efficently
This is annoying because i risk something will break and i will have to search it to repair. Is there a way to repay the deficit? even a console command is ok, i wont feel cheating if i add 100 caps with the console.

The city planner's desk has a drawer on the bottom left that should be labeled supplies. If you click on it, you can add bottlecaps to pay deficits.

No you cannot; if the settlement is you farm the supplies and plans functions of the desk are disabled even if you choose the option to manage them

It say that they have no interest in managing well the farm

Odd. Sorry. On mine, if I enable vassal management, I can access it all. If I disable, I get a similar message and cannot. Sounds like a bug or a mod conflict. Sorry I wasn't able to help. Hopefully, a mod or someone with a better idea will pop in.

Maybe was fixed in last patch, dunno because when 4.0.1 come i started a new campaign and cared not to have settlements in deficit, or better said i never took control of a vassal knowing that Abernathy, my only vassal atm, in a week time more or less would have been able to feed all my raiders even if left alone.
BTW the maintenance system looks still broken because Starlight, my main outpost, is running in red of 50+ caps/day, i deposited 250 when i took it and they are still all there.

The raider outposts do not yet utilize the fuel/ammo cost scenarios so you don't need to feed them caps. You will later once that becomes available to match normal Sim Settlement behavior. Watch out! Those turrets and generators you've been liberally placing will cost a fortune. You also don't have to play with that setting if you'd rather not pay for fuel and ammo cost upkeep.

I took control of my vassals because this IS a Bethesda game, and all sorts of shenanigans can happen that I felt the need to control where I could - assigning settlers to things, making sure they do their job. My character is a bit smarter than the average raider, so he'd definitely be telling them to be productive vassals or suffer under the lash.

So it's just disabled for raiders and vassals, didnt know that, i prolly missed it in the rel notes of 4.0.1
In standard settlements it's active, just checked my Sanctuary and it's paying 80 for fuel and turrets but it earns a nice 115 so it's safe; my only passive settlement is the Mechanist lair, empty with a small generator and a spotlight; have yet to decide what to do with it, sure not take with raiders, and for now i deposited 500 caps and removed the generator to be able to forget it for a long time.

I absolutely want the maintenance system, the game is too easy without even in VH; I dont play survival because when i tried it after the twentieth time i walked Sanctuary Diamond i decided it was not for me; fights once you survive the first ten levels are easy even there once you know what to look for to equip yourself.

You might like Horizon, which is a damn decent survival-esque-not-Bethesda-survival mod. There are Sim Settlements/Horizon patches to boot.

Given a quick look.
Looks very interesting but it's one of those overhaul mods that require to remove every other mod i'm using; if you say it's compatible, with patches of course, with SS could be worth a try

Yeah, people really love Horizon so there are patches for a ton of other mods, but like you said it does change things around!

Anyway i did a quick check and now you can deposit caps in the supplies drawer of controlled vassals. Problem solved.
I can chat of mods or whatever with Ain't Much somewhere else.
