Hi,
Not really a bug, but since i've installed Conqueror, i crash, like others, on the quit auto-save.
I can't save plugings in fo4 edit or CK because they are in use in another process.
In Task Manager we can see there's 2 process, named fo4exe, still running after quitting the game.
I suppose that building the cities in the background could be the culprit.
Just to let you know, and thxs for sharing your creativity. :)

Have you tried killing them with task manager and restarting the game to see if they reappeared?

Hi,
Killing these process, is not a problem, the problem is that having multiple fallout.exe make the game crash on exit, because is unable to auto-save.
Whithout Conqueror, no crash on exit and no fallout.exe in Task manager after playing.
I post this issue because i saw that other players have the same and to let the devs know.

Just noticed this myself. I had five instances running beyond my main game. I'll start checking after each exit to see if it happens again.

Edit: Confirmed. Each time I exit the game by killing the 'app', the 'background process' keeps going. Seems I have to kill them both. Or maybe the background process will kill the app? I'll check, but yeah, after each freeze/exit through task manager, both instances need to be ended.

Edit 2: If I kill the app while the game is running, rather than after it freezes when I try to exit the game, it kills both instances.

Exe shutdown is not something we have any control of with mods.

If it is occurring during the start-up of City Plans sequence, it's possible that the game is behaving oddly due to excessive resource usage, in which case, you'll want to wait to play until after the start-up sequence is complete.
