Hey, it's good to see that my thread is still alive! Keep 'em coming! :clap

Having a blast looking at all those screens. It's cool because one can note everyone's own style of gameplay and that gameplay limitations are truly only the player's own imagination.

Gonna try to post some screens tonight (that is, only if I don't forget once I get home and start playing lol).

Over 50, crammed into Home Plate.

This one should be in like a “hall of fame” it is so indicative of long F4 play throughs and any player who has put in tons of hours can relate to it.

on top of that, it is absolutely “hilarious” :rofl

You really had to visit all them places to get that many!

Since @RayBo seems to like my collection, here's a few more pictures to show the mess off.

Yes, that is Ellen the Cartographer in this first picture.

I got something like 10-12 of these suits from taking out the Prydwin and Boston Airport alone. An attack upon a settlement (3 beautiful suits of Star Paladin armor from there). Then there was the attack upon the Castle.

Now...the vertibird attacks! So rewarding indeed, to be enemies of the BoS. :) I have to say, they are a gift that keeps on giving.

In fact, they give so many...I may have to dive deep into modding to create my own interior cell just to keep all the armor.:rofl
--edit--
@Skauld I'm hoping that my packrat tendencies towards Power Armor will inspire you to get more. And more. And moooore...! ;)
--edit2--
Note that I don't use any of those - I've had so many legendary armor drops that I much prefer to use that. With two full sets of Acrobat Legs that legit dropped, the only thing I can't do outside of Power Armor is use a jetpack.

I could if I want go and grab the Freefall Legs, but why bother.

I just collect the damn stuff and go running around in shadowed leather armor, either ultralight (for extra shots in VATS) or deep-pocketed (for extra carry-weight).

Took a few tries to get this badass shot. Non-sneak-mode with General Gao's sword.

To give you it's true awesomeness in the original 4k. This is why VATS can be a good thing.

I agree with you, that is a fantastic shot. Gear, background, lighting, detail, clarity and a fantastic action shot which is a far cry from a pose. That is an amazing screenshot!

The fact that the protagonist is so well and tastefully modded is just great. You frankly got everything to work and captured it so well. Yep, to me. This is Art!

Oh my, that's enormous praise. I'm going to have to say that I don't deserve all of it by far, though. :umnik2

Here's why: Only two mods are used/shown.

The mostly visible mod is Hostered Weapons by Azar - Vanilla. That gives the 10mm pistol on the protagonist's right hip, the sniper rifle on the back, and the little bit of brown leather backpack that you can see. (I like because the backpack is useful and the whole makes the rifle/pistol combo possible. I like the immersive feeling of being able to carry stuff around instead of hiding everything in an invisible "very deep" pocket.)

The near-invisible mod is Military Cap Expanded. The protagonist is wearing a Minutemen-themed cap, the Minutemen badge hidden on the left-hand side in this shot. (Hey, I went Minutemen. ;))

Everything - EVERYTHING - else shown is vanilla core game!

The goggles are standard available in the game, worn to keep the dust and gunk and radioactive and/or chemical rain out of his eyes. Can't be dealing with stuff when blinded, y'know.

The red bandana is standard available in the game, worn to keep the dust and gunk out of his mouth and nose. He's a stealth character, can't have him coughing his lungs out at an inopportune time.

The military fatigues are standard. Every wrinkle, pocket, seam, crease, fold - the faded/worn/glossy spots - the boots. All vanilla.

The leather armor is standard, shadowed leather armor. The chest-strap with black leather pouches, the belt with side-pouch and bullets, the knee/shin greaves, the shoulder/forearm combo. All the stitching, worn/shiny black leather, studs, loops, layered straps, slightly ratty edges - the lot. All vanilla.

More.

The protagonist, grey hair, old and grizzled and worn, slightly creased forehead from the effort of combat - or perhaps concentration, or maybe even that's how he simply looks at his age after time in the military and being frozen/thawed/frozen/thawed and hunting through a hellhole smashed-up world for his son. The legs set *just so* for stability, providing a strong foundation-stance for the strike. The left hand just barely visible, fingers open. I can almost feel the internal *grunt* of effort from making the finishing blow against the opponent.

The opponent, rusty, slightly peeling, some still-shiny chrome and some scuffed and wrinkled and bubbling, hinting at rust insinuating its way underneath to gnaw at the base steel. Dust raised by its metal feet. Half of one arm ripped off and lost, a leg partly smashed and shattered and falling to the floor, a couple of pieces caught mid-air around "knee" level. Sparks showering through the air.

The setting. Dusty, dingy, rusting shelves. Ceiling tiles broken, the asbestos insulation showing, the pipe-metal framework, the signs, the sun peeking through the holes in the ceiling and the hastily-boarded-up windows. The severely cracked concrete pillar. The piled-up gunk on the floor comprised of dirt/fallen asbestos/fallen glass ceiling tiles/paper boxes/shattered and worn reddish floor tile. The twisted-metal beading of the supermarket trolley in the left-rear area of the screenshot, and the magazine-stand right behind the protagonist. The dust and haze in the background.

All vanilla.

Yes, I went for a coherent aesthetic for my character. It makes *him* look absolutely badass. I agree - and am very, very pleased - that I have managed to pull that off big-time.

The loving artistic work in the game itself, as backdrop. I take no credit for that. Bethesda made that, renders it at 60 frames per second, often ignored and mostly taken for granted by players.

B*tch about it and call them Bugthesda as much as people want to. That loving attention to artistic detail - even if not a 100% logical and realistic etc artistic setting some 210 years after a nuclear holocaust :grin - THAT is pure art.

That it is computer-rendered dynamically simply adds to the whole. That we are able to take a snapshot of one 1/60th second frame - an instant in time - for posterity, for capturing a character in a completely badass look/posture/situation, is both art and awesomeness combined.

And I'm rambling a lot. I'll shaddup now.:hi

hahahaha, I like them all. A-bit for different reasons :) That is a great preset, very attractive, unique and not overdone. Classy! The Cabin looks really cool. Where on the map is it?

In the middle two are you using, IceStorm's Autumn Outfit? Plus, it looks like V's furniture in one which is a really underappreciated mod which I like.

Do you have more of the cabin you can post?

Mac was inspired by an absolute smokeshow of a woman inside and out. Both the face & body are my own creation. Cerina's Cabin is from the Northern Springs DLC on Nexus. The cabin itself is part of the mod, with enough space around it to make a small settlement. The worldspace for Northern Springs is huge, about the same size as Nuka World. Lots of stuff to explore so far. The buildings I put up by Cerina's were from Snappy's. I also built a pot grow house. All of the trees & underbrush around it is from Creative Gardens & Northland Diggers. Sadly, all I have from that build are pics and some highly corrupted save files. I had to start a new game.

I am indeed using Autumn outfits. I beta tested it for IceStormNG, along with feeding him content ideas. My 2 girls were helping some there, as they are in their early 20's. Go check out the mod and use it. The quality is incredible. I used 2K textures, and he has a 4K package available. Nothing else like it on the Nexus.
I am using V's stylish mod, and HZY furnitures, and all the decking and stairs outside the structure is from the G2M mod.

Here's a few display shop shots that I did, This one little area almost brought my rig to it's knees. All the shoes are placeable items with a massive poly count. I had to remove a bunch of shoes... I originally had the shelves mostly filled. Problem was that it sucked up all of the memory in my rig. I was getting under 20 frames at one point.

In the last shot, Cerina's cabin is actually the small green structure in the center. Everything else was added in. The snappy's house is hidden by all the trees. It's more or less to the left of the wind tower. The pot grow house is next to the cabin up top, and there's a small Snappy building to the left. The terrain around here is steep too. On one side of the house only a very little of the foundation is visible, on the other end there's 10 feet or so.

Wow, exceptional! You really did some next level work here.

Looks like at some point I will have to try out Northern Springs!

Yeah, IceStormNG caught be between games. I can't use the one with the modded basement. Not willing to toss my lighting set-up to use it. So, I am waiting to install it currently. Maybe, after the next update or maybe until I have time for the quest and / or have a location that needs a little more polish for the NPC's. That is one good mod that folks just don't know what to do with it. Its almost to nice for FO4.

Well... Thank you! I was not expecting that kind of response, but it is certainly welcomed. :hi FYI, Ice put out a rev for the Autumn outfits that leaves Fallon's in a vanilla state. The new rev still has vanilla Becky with the clothes for sale, without the added decor.
And speaking of new things, I've already started re- building a structure at Cerina's. :moil:moil Here's a couple shots of what I've done so far. The structure is roughly 6x 14 squares

That post in the second pic is a workshop boundary marker I put up. Gives me a visual reference for fit.
Here's pics of Mac ver 2. For this version I used Hi poly faces, and the neck tweaks mod. I also gave her a fuller set of lips.

And I needed a different female companion. Insane Ivy. Chic Geek has the voice duty. Of course I gave her a different face to natch the voice....

I don't believe in "the ends justify the means".
Wish I could thumbs-up this some more. I quite enjoyed killing the lot of them off, too. Especially the doctor, for daring me to kill her.

IIRC, I dumped them in the lake.

I didn't know about the legendary weapon that was there for sale. Thought about it...and realized I didn't care anyway. =)

For a second there I though u may have been showing a mod from LL ;)
Wait, LL have a 'group' mod now?!

*slyly slinks of to DL*
Not really. LL doesn't appeal to me.

Yeah, I missed out on it too. But I don't remember it being all that inspiring anyway. I think it was a Submachine Gun but I'm not sure. I definitely didn't see it and think "I have to have that!".
