Idek: does Logistics designation increase attack rates?

I know that some amount of resources increases you the frequency of attacks or perhaps raises the level of attackers? I am just not sure what the math is on that.

I am playing survival mode for the first time (it's awesome btw if you haven't done it, do it!.) and Sanctuary keeps getting hit by large groups of mutants, I wasn't sure if that was because my lockerdesignation is there?
I'm going to move the locker to my APC (APC on the move Mod) but I don't know if that is going to help at all, so I thought I would ask, for all I know this is just a Survival thing.

Thanks!

When you designate the container it should ask you if you want to disable attacks on the settlement (that is if you placed the locator in a workshop), otherwise it will increase the attack chance. Vanilla behaviour is that the more stuff you have in the workshop, the more the settlement will get attacked.

Thank you! I thought I saw it somewhere but I forgot where. That has been driving me insane!

Sort of related: 2 suits of power armor disappeared despite attacks turned off so I'm not 100% sure if that's working correctly (unless it conflicts with uncapped settlement surplus which does tinker with the attack frequency)

I've never had Power Armor disappear unless I left a fusion core in it. I did have an issue when using Simsettlements in FO4 vr where a particular suits interaction location became locked in place, but I didn't do enough testing to discovery if SS actually caused the issue.

Yea, don’t leave fusion cores in them. At best, one of your settlers will grab the power armor when an attack happens; at worst, a raider will steal the armor.

I also use Sanctuary as my dumping grounds. I use a separate container as designation and have never noticed an increase in attacks. My rule is to never use a workstation as a dump bin, settlement attacks are annoying. (I never use anything to lessen or disable attacks, but their still annoying)
