So Creations by COOTS added 7 new city planner desks: Wooden, Compact, Vault-Tec, Fancy, Redneck, Dogmeat's, and the Workspace. I have plans for three more with images below; I want to know if y'all have any ideas/requests.

This was the first desk I made. Proportions are roughly identical to the stock SS desk. Fully functional with flag selector & blue print serving same roles. The trashcan is how you can control allowed plot plans and the safe is for donations. This is a clean model but a less tech-savvy feel than stock.

I wanted to decrease the footprint of the desk a little with something that would fit at the end of a Sanctuary house hallway and maybe not be cramped. This outcome is okay, I have an Ultracompact design in my mind. The trashcan and safe both serve the same role as in the Wooden desk and the flag is atop the terminal. The desk lamp is pretty weak but there are some console lights below the terminal (bad angle here). I like this because it has a very different feel (there being no seat and you have to stand to interact).

I'm a little geeked out on Vault Tec stuff (see Automatron Robot Vault-Tec Paint Jobs). This is about 20% wider than the stock Desk. The chest below the desk with the Cap holding bobblehead is for donations and the Locker with the wrench holding bobblehead is how you can sort the plans. This has a lot of flavor to it and I really enjoy how "using" this should use the leaning over a map animation (two hands on the desk looking down). Again, a fairly clean design but dirtier than stock.

The fancy desk is a beast and took the longest to design. I went for a wealthy mobster like feel and there are elements like the shotgun mounted under the desk that betray that leading a settlement wouldn't be the safest occupation. The workshop terminals are not the best for the Sim Settlements holotape, but it works. The small stack of paper on a clipboard to the left of the terminal is how you control plot plans and the safe and blueprint are same old. I'd like to make the coat rack hold whatever hat you put in it, but I'm not that savvy. This is my only desk that I think works best when NOT facing a wall.

This monstrosity is pretty unique. It is quite tall from my cobbled together sawhorse. I use an amazing flamingo smoking a stogie from the Great Mimaef. The cooler on the ground acts as donations (so many beer bottles) and the hanging "first aid" kit is where one set's their plans. This desk is jarringly bright, and I've tweaked it down a little, and features a slightly larger flag selector.

I love this "desk" even if it isn't fully featured (it lacks a terminal so you have to use the pipboy or another desk to change settings). I designed this specifically for Dogmeat, who can be a city leader with my mod, and this doghouse is a work object for him. The cute chalkboard acts like the blueprint of the other desks, and the trash can and safe are my goto plot plan selector and donation activator. The larger flag on the house makes me happy and when you "use" the desk to build stuff it looks like you are searching the various scrap on it for what you need.

Are these or your leaders packs only available on pc or are they on xbox as well love the look

I'm currently mulling over a redesign of the mod itself (same content) which will make it easier for folks who get CC or deactivate CC content to work with the mod (at the moment doing either will break all the shit). Simultaneously, this redesign will make my mod make sense for xbox users (it is too big right now to be viable the way I packaged and designed it). Within a month I plan on launching V 2.0 and launching to xbox users. Thank you for the compliment and stay tuned.

Edit: V 2.1 was launched on both Nexus and Bethesda.net (for XBone).

WIP "Desk". I like to think of this one as a little plot just for you. It will cost the same as building a city planner desk, armor bench, weapon bench, chem station, and stove. It includes ALL the functionality of this items, AND (because of your commitment to being awesome) will offer some settlement buffs (TBD).

Holy shit, new desk designs!
The newest in ultra compact living is the Ultra Compact City Planner Desk! Sure it doesn't have a terminal, but you're wearing one on your arm! The clipboard is for plan selection and the suitcase for donations. When you use the desk you kneel down and look around, kind of like trying to find the tool you want or that ASAM sensor either hanging off the side or stuck in between.

kneeling use marker for scale!

You work hard, and not enough people appreciate that. Now you can lead a city in style... and more importantly, while relaxing. Outfitted with a blueprint to write all your ideas and orders down, a classy red case to organize the plans you will allow in your city, a flag selector (not too big because that'd be gauche), and when you want to donate to your citizens just ring the bell and an attendant will take all the goods you shall not burden yourself with anymore. I'll supply another screen shot later but I've added profuse wine to the nightstand.

The same comment left over on the NEXUS. This is a PROFOUND improvement!

CptCoots, I absolutely agree with aikatepp! This is one amazing little bench that IMHO propels your mod well beyond just a SS improvement. I was so excited I had to exit the game to drop a comment + drop you a Kudos. To answer your question, yes the weapons workbench is not functioning, it throws you out to 3d person camera view and won't let you slip into the crafting mode. Still, that is such a small issue. Your mod has just become as essential!. Just the early game cost savings and overall space savings is a "winner-winner bloat fly dinner!" Seriously, this is a profound quality of life / game-play improvement! I LOVE IT!

Already Endorsed so just - KUDOS KUDOS & KUDOS! THANK YOU!

Oh no! there is a texture missing on the cooking bench!

:shok1 You're Killing me. This new bench is such a creative and brilliant idea that is so well executed and what you see is one tiny little texture.

Anyhow, Good work :good Good Sir!

And here is the start of another new "desk". I started all this because I wanted the Wooden City Planner desk. That is literally the reason I started modding for Sim Settlements. Period. Now I'm playing around a little with what a City Planner desk is (see Dogmeat's and the lounge desk I'm working on for instance). I bring you the very WIP Dunwich Prayer "Desk":

I think you have another really good idea here.

In FO4, we have Aliens, we have the Dunwich Occult, Cannibalism, Sci-fi and the Undead - a bunch of stuff. What I like about SS is cleaning up the Commonwealth but in fixing that problem it creates another problem. The mysteriously strange or fantastic become disproportionally irrelevant. Like the feeling of an old-school dungeon crawl on a rainy afternoon into??

Creativity is funny as you pointed out. It starts out just like you said, just a man wanting a wooden desk. Primal, 40k yrs ago another man/woman wanted to lace a cord of grass through an animal hide to have a hood. Please keep doing it for the reasons that you started and most of all please keep having fun.

Oh, big fan of dogs. They do kind of take over :!dog: . They should have something to enact their master plan? Anything dog is a winner in my book. In my game, Strong is a 125% oversized talking Dog and it is hilarious.

I think your insight is right, a desk is something that can be really exciting. not something I would not have thought at first but damm!. Thank you so much for sharing!

Cr_p I just stayed up all night. Just to tell you how much I liked your desk. :swoon
