Notifications Cooldown

Hi,

I wanted to increase the cooldown of the SS notifications since their too fast, I searched only online for mods, and configuration changes but nothing really works. Does anyone know a way to increase it?

Thanks in advance.

There´s no way to do that. There´s an option for SS notifications to be pop ups instead of the regular ones. They appear in the middle of the screen and you have to close them. They are more intrusive but you don´t miss any notification

Hm. I see, whata bummer tho.
But when you say "there's no way to do that", you also mean even code wise, like, couldn't kingath possibly add an option to increase these notifications time? ... at least for SS.

The reset time should be changeable in the code, but is not currently known to be user configurable.

I thought there was a display duration in the vanilla settings for popup notification wait times and am curious if setting that to a higher value corrects the issue?

I don´t know really. Thought Kinggath added that option for that reason , and there are so many mods that change notifications that I think that cannot be modified

To the Laboratory!!!!!!

Best we can do at this point is screw with it and see what pops out the other side.

During testing..we got really quick at snagging screenshots, so we could go back & read the bloody things. After a while, you get used to scanning them for location..event.
Personally.. I'd like them to have a LOT less info..
Sanctuary..New..Martial Plot..
Sanctuary..Finished..Martial Plot..
Sanctuary..Upgrade..Martial Plot..

And leave all the extra info for the intrusive manual close, you gonna die now, in the middle of combat, popups. Thank God for acrobat armor! hehehe

Yeah that would be cool! I got use to read them like that, because the time to read all the text is not enough.
The info about "a settler has...." is pointless

I assume F4SE could override the notification time, but there is currently no option in the base game to change the amount of time the notifications in the upper left show up on screen.

From https://afkmods.iguanadons.net/index.php?/topic/4316-fallout-4-useful-ini-settings/

Display time of interface messages and radiation sound duration.

(Fallout4.ini or Fallout4Custom.ini)

Values in milliseconds 1s=1000ms

[Interface]
uAmmoCounterFadeTimeMS=10000
uLocationTextDisplayTime=40000
uVaultBoyConditionDisplayTime=5000
uNotificationPostDisplayCooldown=2000
uNotificationSyncedXPStartDelayMS=1000
uObjectiveVignetteDisplayTime_Max=8000
uObjectiveVignetteDisplayTime_Min=4000
uPlayBinkMenuSkipWindow=3000
uQuestVignetteDisplayTime_Max=10000
uQuestVignetteDisplayTime_Min=6000
uRadCounterFadeInDurationMS=100
uRadCounterFadeOutDurationMS=250
uRadRadiationSoundFadeMS=250
uRadWarningDisplayTimeMS=1000
uRadiationSoundDurationMS=2000
uSaveLoadMessageMinDuration=1500

Would changing the assigned interface time class cause the message to show at a different location on screen?

I dunno... on the other hand, I thought this was about changing the quest popup times. :P

Doesnt SS require F4SE? , and if so would it be possible to have this option in the future?...personally it just bothers me sometimes I can't read SS notifications. ;O
But if not , than its ok I guess, Ill just live with it. xD

I've tried that too, none worked really.

SS doesn't have any dependency on F4se and can't have because f4se doesn't exist on the Xbox.
Did you try upping the values by double or even triple what they were? Reminder: 1000ms in a second, so for a 5 second display time you'll need to set it to 5000.
