Just wanted to chime in and thank Kinggath for doing this. It was very interesting to hear a high level discussion between him and two high quality add-on creators. I didn’t understand everything but hey, I liked it the same way I would like to hear a conversation between Neil Degrasse Tyson and Einstein. I wouldn’t get most of it but I feel like Id get smarter just by being present.

In that sense, I’d like to voice my opinion over one of the thing KG discussed about the potential future and what people might want from such a video. I hope this is kept as is, made by and for high level modders even if it means not being helpful to everyone. My two reasons are that you already put out quite a lot of quality content for people starting or learning (and it doesn’t need to be all the content you release). And also because I think hearing people like Tinuvia and Myrmarachne who think outside the box and push the envelope might get the wheels turning for some people about their own ideas and how to approach creating a high quality pack.

I would also add that I hope to see more of these, in case it wasn’t obvious.

Quote of the week goes to Kinggath: “My generic style works much better for skinning”. It also is a strong contender for worst out of context quote of the year.

Again thank you to all three participants for a very interesting listen.

So glad you thought it interesting to watch/listen, even though it became very specific and detailed. For Myrmarachne and me it was gold, getting this help to get over the hurdles we have to get our faction pack in a playable state. I’ll get some work-in-progress pics posted in our corner here on the forums to show what we’ve been up to for the last half year :) but as Myrmarachne says, the next step is to publish (scary thought!).

I hope this type of stream becomes a staple in kinggath’s content. Like you say, it’s complementing content that already exists for getting started with modding and programming. I’m guessing it will be a bit too not on point for most people and useful for a much smaller audience than kinggath has in general. But I think it’s really interesting to also hear kinggath’s thoughts on how he built and evolve this whole framework of mods.

I got so wrapped up in the problem solving that I sort of forgot the experience for people listening in and it wasn't until we closed down that I saw comments on our Twitch too - sorry about that!

Kinggath and all the other mod authors on the Sim Settlements Builder’s Discord are generally a huge help for any big or small conundrum we stumble upon, but this was luxurious. Hope more mod authors get this chance too!

I know... which reminds me, it’s been two days, I was asked to write to you about that :)
