Question regarding Fusion City Rising, Outcasts and Remnants, and Project Valkyrie.

Hello,

I'm new here. First off, I want to thank kinggath for the amazing Sim Settlements and the Conquerors expansion(?) that just blew me away when I started a new game and walked to Sanctuary and found a wall around the city. It was amazing how a mod hits you in the face at that level right at the beginning, felt like I was playing a whole new game on some levels...

Secondly, I would like to apologize if this question has been asked before.

So my question is this, will Fusion City Rising, and Outcasts and Remnants, as well as its add-on Project Valkyrie which I all intend to try, conflict with the conquerors expansion and Sim Settlements in general?

Have any of you faced any issues using these mods. Did you manage any workarounds for them? Do you have any general words of advice?

Thank you so much for the great mods kinggath and keep the good work coming. Will join your Patreon as soon as I have a stable source of income ready. :angel

Generally speaking, Conqueror should be really the only main quest type kind of thing. It is simply game engine issues to handle all the scripting, not to mention sorting out all of the conflicts.

I know it isn't the answer you want to hear. I feel ya though. I would want everything too.

If you want a stable game, it really is a choice of either or... as well, there is a link around someone more astute than I where SS has a page of conflicts... I think the base Outcasts alone has issues with SS.

John

PS - I see a new expansion for Outcasts - and trust me, I really do want it all as well. :)

It should be ok but some have reported problems in the past.
Ive used them with simsettlements and never had problems ,the new one says its good to use with conqueror but it would depend on what mods you have besides those.

Thank you! I'm going to play with these mods as I cannot picture a Fallout without dastardly... stuff...

I will come back and post any findings, hopefully positive! :declare(that's supposed to signify fingers crossed! :santa)

I actually ran this to find out... no problem. Though only in around Concord, inside the Fallon's building or other areas such as getting the caches near Corvega, I noticed lap in the scripting. My most affected mod was Immersive HUD … it would take a few seconds to change from hidden to shown (instead of pretty much instant)... it may be because of lag or maybe some pre-combines. Not sure, my FPS meter stayed pretty much at 60. But, that was the only indications of anything being affected.

I'm almost 60 hours in to a game with all the above as well as the new Depravity mod by the same team. Only issues so far have been related to PANPC, but running some tests on Greslins new patch yesterday, it seems he has all but eliminated the stack dump issue when running it along side Conqueror. So long story short, I have finished about half of Depravity. all of Project Valkyrie, currently in the midst of OAR and will be Starting Fusion city this weekend.

I think this is a very good conversation.

I think Uituit brings up a great point and MrCjohn emphasis’s it correctly. It is not a contradiction; and, in my opinion, both are spot on. Though I fully agree with @MrCJohn, I cannot agree more than I do with @Uituit’s comment as, “fair warning.”
I love both you guys and we are all supporting the same things, to help everyone have fun.

One thing folks forget about inclusion is it goes both ways regarding judgements. Fo4 is a mature game and even SS ventures into mature territory.

I also use some mods and though I like them for their technical, intelligent application and creative achievement; but, they can even make me cringe at points as they do cross a line that intellectually I normally find a-bit hard to digest in normal public interaction, that is not to say that someone else is just fine if they are good with that.

I think the best one can do is be adult about it and think about it, and what is “fair warning” and while being accepting of an author’s creative liberty but still simultaneously being responsible SS community members and not promoting explicitly “R” content for the purpose solely of the explicitly “R” content is a good thing. This is NOT the case here. As this thread is a good example IMHO, for fair and honest opinions while showing respect for the mixed crowd that may find themselves reading it.

I think it valuable to give “fair warning” when reaching the infamous broad gray line. Ha! As the red line can be a little unforgiving once crossed.

I also think it responsible to take “fair warning” if you are a user who feels that the subject matter could be offensive or offensive to someone who might hear it or see it in your household. It is a good thing to choose not to be offended, by not putting yourself in that situation in the first place thus using your choice to not use something you may find disagreeable.

I have always followed Uituit’s lead and approach, as it is always in-line with protecting the general sensibilities of inclusion, dignity and respect - with the intent, we are here to promote SS and its use in Fo4; then, help everyone use whatever content within reason to work with SS and F04.

Though I think the “thuggy” mods are within the boundary of most adults and a great addition to Fo4 and SS.

Still, Uituit say’s it well. “lewd” is “fair warning.”

These forums are by far the best I have ever had the pleasure to participate in. This thread is a good read, & for how we can keep it that way when discussing “gray” territory for some users.

I like this thought. It says, “on the battlefield” but I would say “in general” and I think summarizes all my thoughts on “fair warning” being “a good thing.”

My wink was being sarcastic with uituit, dad! stop the woodshed!

And I do agree with "fair warning"... :) (that's a smiley face, btw!) I wasn't advocating anything but teasing uittuit... who deserves fun and joy in his life!

Some mods... though .... require Extreme Red Alert Warning.... and we should also be fair to use these as well.. Not mentioning anyone's mod name, of course... (ivy)

And since during the "Let's Play"... I am not offended by the .. um... au natural npcs ... I am more offended with King "not even using CBBE".. vanilla... gah! :) hahaha... more smiles... be happy guys, it's Friday!

Oh, no-no no no woodshed...
Oh, I know you were teasing him and I know you’re a 110 % so by no means was the post directed at you or anyone on this thread. By no means was I wanting to imply any conflict, hell if you didn’t say it I might have. :crazy I do it all the time, and often push the limits of innuendos myself. Heck, I make videos with Ivy in them. Haha, leading to a couple edits here and there. Being the king of potential offenders myself I thought it ok to open up the discussion. I am a big fan of the thuggy mods.

It was a good opportunity to for adults talk about how to convey / how best to translate “the fun we are having here” to something we can relate to maybe other future threads and preemptively keep all users in a good space.

All I am saying was you did it right but so did uituit. That exchange is an excellent example for how to covey what is acceptable.

The fun is in the “contradiction” in so much, as it is in an individual users span of responsibility to decide for themselves what is bad for them “given far warning” sure we are joking around but the fair warning is there just the same.

Oh @MrCJohn, I haven’t forgotten about your story. I am about 2/3 done.
Much longer than I imagined it would be.
Yes, it has Ivy in it, and heather, and the crew.
Yes, It surely will be a “fair warning” kind of story but not too bad.
